Release for Interview

The National Veteran’s Historical Archive (NVHA) is incorporated by and subject to the laws of the state of Indiana.

  1. The NVHA will not give the interviewee’s personal contact information to any third party. Anyone who wants to directly contact the Veteran must supply their contact information to the NVHA. The NVHA will then forward the request and contact information to the interviewee, and they can contact the requester as they wish.
  1. The interviewee must not disclose any military secrets entrusted to him/her.
  1. The interviewee has the right not to answer any question for any reason.
  1. The interviewee has the right to end the interview at any time for any reason.

5.The interview belongs to the National Veteran’s Historical Archive Inc. (NVHA). The NVHA has the right to use all or part of this interview for archive storage and public research. The NVHA may use this interview’s contents in its publications and other public media. Other public media includes our website, promotional columns written by the NVHA without compensation, and articles or interviews in print or broadcast media used to promote the project.

6. The interviewee owns all commercial rights to the interview, therefore no part of this interview may be used for commercial for profit purposes without the express written consent of the interviewee or their surviving family.

7. The interviewee, for himself and for his spouse, legal representatives, and heirs, releases, waives and discharges NVHA, its officers, members and volunteers and the owners and lessees of the site of the interview and each of them, from all liability to me, my spouse, legal representatives and heirs, for all loss or damage, and any resulting claim on account of injury to my person or property, whether caused by the negligence of any of such entities or persons or otherwise, while I am being transported to and from the interview site and while I am at such site.
