MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 11, 2016 ILLINOIS USA GYMNASTICS TUMBLING AND TRAMPOLINE CLUBS

The meeting was called to order by Mary at 10:08 am. She welcomed everyone to Bloomington.
State Chair’s Report Mary Findley-
Mary went through packet quickly; stated Illinois had a very good year with representation.
EDP team Tasha Williams, CIGA, Jenna Revell JJ, Andrew Kehias, Top Star, asked if anyone was missed, no answers.
SR National team- Lacey Jenkins, Phoenix Elite, Trey Katz, Kris Power Tumbling, Kristel Lowell, One World asked if anyone was missed here and no answers.
JR National team – Aubrey Beryers Kris Power tumbling asked once again if anyone was missed and no one.
Anyone who are on these teams will need to fill out a funding request form please fill out and send back to Mary.
New website is up and running please check it often. Meet results are on there and will stay under a folder for past meets as new ones go up. Does anyone want to see anything different on the web site let Mary know.
Everyone will need to recertify in the T210 but it is not up yet. Same as last year must attend state and regionals and qualify at one to attend nationals.
New meet reservation system is on USA Gymnastic website meet directors are encouraged to use it will save time. Compatible with pro score. Also new phone app is in works which will have code of points, routines, rules etc so keep checking web for new and important information.
Welcomed new clubs this past year-- Firehouse, Kris Power Tumbling, and Phoenix Elite but none of them were in attendance.
Make sure get state dues in by Dec 31 to save money 50.00 if after 1st it is 75.00
Went through packet everything in blue is general reports, secretary, and treasurer. Gold color is meets and meet proposals. White is general information meet reservation, concussion flyer, USA Gymnastics University etc.
Illinois will have state clinic with judging, coaches course Oct 23 at One World in Chicago Heights.
T200 is online course now for any coaches that want to be on floor at meets, still need to do T201 as hands on.

Technical Chair Report Julie Morgan –
Asked who and what judge’s courses are needed. Routines will not change until 2018 FIG has changed already but will use current until all changes. Double mini red zone will change, along with proposal to have trampoline line judges.
Courses will be held at state clinic
Next year everyone will retest.

Cindy reported Megan was at meeting for program committee so had nothing at this time to report.

Copy of by laws were in packet with proposal to change everything in yellow, Green items need discussed.
Discussion was held and for awards it was decided that no one follows current by law of trophies for l-3 at invitational meets so it was changed to read:
Medals or its equivalent will be presented for places 1-10. Patti Melvin moved to accept, Juan 2nd 17 ayes 0 nays
State meet
- Changed to read: pay a minimum of 50% of approved hotel to judges traveling over 100 miles one way to meet.

9. World Age World Team:
Discussion was held and changed to read as follows:
State of Illinois will fund World championship athletes who have competed past year in Illinois $500.00 each. Will fund World and World age group coaches each 500.00 (1 per club)
World age group athletes are equally funded by challenge providing they participate in challenge and competed past year in Illinois. If no challenge is held that year will award a minimum of 350.00 provided they met previous requirements.
