●Presidential debate went very well
○Far more people went than expected
○Ran out of tacos
●Talking about doing another event for the last debate on october 19th
○Possibly doing it in the Page MPR
○We should probably get more food
○Gonna have it in the Clark A lounge
○Headed up by the freshmen senators
○Probably gonna do tacos again just get more food
Funding Proposal by Trae Rutherford (1826)
●Proposes to spend $75 to string up lights on the Emerson patio to provide better lighting for those who do homework, play games, etc outside at night
●Paid to the RD
●Passed 5-0-1
New Business (1832)
●Westmont Housing Forum on October 6th from 6-7pm
○Gonna get the powerpoint from Stu on the housing plan
○Gonna get snacks and fingerfood
○Layout
■Tables around founders with paper and pen for suggestions
○Some RD’s will be there wandering around answering questions
○Try to not be super formal
○Nolan: suggesting that Stu give a presentation before we got to informal
○Noah: might be better to not have a presentation because we’re shooting for informal
○Josh: agrees, freshmen are asking a lot of questions already
○Savannah and Nolan: putting out a newsletter to be put on doors that outlines the housing plan
Bethany’s Bill ideas (1843)
●We have about $1600 dollars that can be used to put fake plants in the DC to reduce the need to maintain the real plants
●Or we can get hi-def in the TV’s for about $1000 a dorm

●Trying to get a sign for voter registration, getting paper registration materials, and allowing people to sign up on our computers during our office hours
●Nolan wants to change some elements of the constitution
○Especially having to do with refurbishing the constitution to deal with the upcoming changes on campus
●Jordan wants to have a get informed event and to collaborate with a freshman senator
○Election program committee: what you need to know about the major issues
●Savannah will be working on the social media stuff with the freshman senators
●Angela: handed out nameplates and name tags

●Strategic Planning Committee
○Splitting it up into two shifts 9-1200 and 12:00-2:30
■Caleb will take the morning shift, Leandra will take the second
Housing Forum (1926)
●Stu and a few RD’s should be there
●Shooting for more informal
●More formal when DR. Beebee comes
●Layout
○Food in center surrounded by tables that will have paper and pens for people to write suggestions
○U shape so as not to block projector
○One staff person/WCSA member manning each table
○Put their email on paper so we can respond
