PRODUCT FEATURES

The Maxell IKUdenki is a Bluetooth portable speakerwith the following features:

  • Wireless playback of music from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone or devices via the Bluetooth connection
  • Up to 33 feet (10 meters) line-of-sight operating distance
  • Remotely control your music (play, pause, next track, previous track)
  • Suction cup allows you to stick the speaker onto almost any flat surface (dry, clean and non-porous).
  • Dustproof/Waterproof rating of IP64 enables use in the shower and other wet environments. (6/6 full dustproof rating, 4/8 splash-proof rating; water splashes from all directions for 5 minutes have no harmful effects)

GETTING STARTED

Carefully remove the unit and all the accessories from the packaging. Please verify that you have all the following accessories before recycling the gift box.

LOCATION OF CONTROLS

1)ON/OFF Button and CHARGING port

2)FUNCTION BUTTON (Play/Pause, Re-enter Pair Mode)

3)Volume UP (Short Press) or NEXT song (Long Press)

4)Volume DOWN (Short Press) or PREVIOUS song (Long Press)

5)LED – Power / Charging / Pairing status indicator

SPEAKER OPERATIONS

Power On / Open the flap and slide the power switch “on”. The device will beep and automatically join “pairing mode” (blue & red LED flashing). Reseal the flap carefully.
Pairing Mode / The speaker will exit “pairing mode” if there are no connections for 5 minutes.
To re-join pairing mode from standby or during use, press and hold the middle button for 3 seconds.
To connect to the speaker, please search for MXSP-BT60 in the menu of your device.
Volume Adjust / Short press the (+) or (-) buttons to increase or decrease the volume. Alternatively, adjust the volume on your phone/MP3 player.
Play & Pause / Short press the middle button to play/pause your song.
Last/Next Song / Long press (-) to play the last song. Long press (+) to play the next song.
Auto Power-Off / The device will automatically power-off if there is no connection for 30 minutes or if the battery drops very low.
Power Off / Open the flap and slide the power switch “off”. The device will beep and turn off (red LED flash 3 times). Reseal the flap carefully.

LED INDICATOR MEANINGS

Power On / Blue Light flashes 3 times quickly
Power Off / Red light flashes 3 times quickly
Standby (not connected to device) / Blue light flashes once every 5 seconds
Standby (connected to device) / Blue light flashes once every 7 seconds
Charging / Long red light flash
Full charge / Red light switches off
Low Voltage Alarm / Red light flashes once every 60 seconds and the speaker will beep.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Symptom / Possible Problem / Solution
No Charging / The USB Plug (not included) is not plugged into a wall outlet or the USB cable (included) is not plugged into the micro USB jack behind the flap at the back of the speaker.
OR
The USB cable is not connected properly. / Plug the USB plug (not included) into a wall outlet and plug the USB cable (included) into the micro USB jack on the speaker.
Ensure that the USB cable is securely connected at both ends.
Wall outlet is not functioning. / Plug another device into the same outlet to confirm the outlet is working.
Computer USB port is not functioning. / Make sure your computer power is turned on and try another USB port.
No Sound / The Speaker battery is dead. / Recharge the speaker battery.
The Speaker is not linked with your mobile device. / See above “Speaker Operations” process to link/pair your device
The speaker is out of range. / Relocate the speaker within Bluetooth operating range 10 meters (33 feet).
Volume set too low. / Increase the volume of your device.
Sound is distorted. / Volume level is set too high. / Decrease the volume of your device.
Distortion originates from a poor quality sound file. / If the source sound file is of poor quality, distortion and noise are easily noticeable at high volume level. Try a better sound quality music file again.
Speaker gets warm after extended play at high volume. / This is normal. / Turn the unit off for a period of time or lower the volume.

WARNINGS

-Maxell cannot guarantee that the IKU denki will create a perfect seal on every surface:to avoid product damage, please re-apply the speaker regularly to ensure a good hold. Do not stick the product too high to avoid potential drop damage.

-Do not turn the power on and off in quick succession, as this may damage the product.

-If there is NO feedback/response of the speaker, please switch itON/OFF and try again. Alternatively, please charge the speaker to ensure speaker has power.

-Make sure the speaker is fully charged before initial use.

-Do not burn or bury batteries.

-Do not puncture or crush thedevice

-Do not disassemble.

-Lithium batteries must berecycled. Do not dispose of in thetrash.

- Use only chargers rated forLithium batteries. Be sure thecharger’s voltage and currentsettings are correct for thebattery pack being charged.

-Charge batteries on a fireproofsurface and away fromflammable items or liquids.

-Batteries should NEVER be leftunattended while charging. Only adults should charge thebatteries or give clearinstructions to children forcharging.

-Do not charge longer thanrecommended. Unplug thecharger when the battery is fullycharged.

-Avoid operating your unit underdirect sunlight or in hot, humid ordusty places.Keep your unit away fromheating appliances and sourcesof electrical noise such as lamps ormotors.

-Do not let the speaker fall onto the flooror other hard surfaces. The internal circuitmight get damaged.

-To prevent fire or shock hazards,disconnect your unit from the USB port ofpower source when cleaning.

-The finish on the unit may be cleanedwith a dust cloth and cared for as otherfurniture; be careful when cleaning andwiping the plastic parts.

-If you notice anything abnormal about theproduct during use, STOP using theproduct immediately.
