X. OTHER

My academic interests are EU foreign, security and defence policy, NATO transformation, political and economic processes of the Central and Eastern European states, Russian foreign policy, energy security, forecasting methodology. Since 2007 I am on the Executive Academic Board of the European Security and Defence College. Since 2005 I am commenting events and writing reviews for Lithuanian newspapers, magazines and internet portals (such as „IQ. The Economist“, “Lietuvos rytas”, “Veidas”, “Kelias”, “The Baltic Times”, www.delfi.lt, www.alfa.lt, www.balsas.lt, www.geopolitika.lt, www.bernardinai.lt, www.technologijos.lt, etc.) on security, foreign policy and economical issues. I have been cooperating with Lithuanian and Estonian think-tanks by contributing to their researches. Governmental and scientific institutions are inviting me to contribute policy papers, brainstorming, seminars and roundtable discussions on energy security, ENP, NATO and ESDP issues. I also have experience of participating in scientific conferences and international negotiations, organizing massive international events (conferences, training activities), preparing official speeches and making presentations, observing elections in conflict zones.
