All the Wyndham City staff at the community centre hope you all had a wonderful summer break and that you are ready for an eventful new year!
You may have noticed that 2018 has already brought some changes here at the centre and we still have some more to come. us get you up to speed:
We are now the Manor Lakes Community Learning Centre!
For almost seven years, the centre has been known to you all as the Wyndham Vale Community Learning Centre, however to better reflect its location we are now called Manor Lakes Community Learning Centre.

The construction at the centre is almost finished!
Over the last few months the community centre has been under renovation to create spaces which better reflect the character of the community and provide enhanced council services locally. In February you will find a completely new Youth Space to cater programs for 12-25 year olds and a refreshing, open foyer space with new carpet and upgraded technical features.
Keep an eye out for an official celebration at the end of March to recognise these significant changes.

Café Exchange/Café Experience
On the job learning, volunteering program with the Saffron Kitchen. The program is aimed at providing young people (15-25 years) with a volunteering opportunity to gain some hospitality training, experience and knowledge of working in a café. Young people will be also provided with the following trainings, i.e. Basic Barista, First Aid, Food Handling etc.
Starting the week of5th – 9th Feb 2018
Volunteers are expected to commit to one day a week, from 9 – 3 pm, for 10 weeks.

MANOR LAKES CHRISTMAS MARKET
On Saturday, the 19th of December, the Manor Lakes community basked in the summer sun at the Christmas instalment of Michelle Harvey’s ‘Neighbourhood Market’.
With multiple food trucks, over 30 stallholders for late Christmas shopping and even a visit from Santa Claus himself, hundreds of people flocked to join in on the festivities.
The next anticipated Neighbourhood Market is planned for Saturday, the 5th of May, 18’.
