A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Jewell Marie Stinnett East.

WHEREAS, Jewell Marie Stinnett East was the cherished daughter of the late Johnnie Luther and Josephine Grant Stinnett; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Stinnett was a faithful and devout member of Roberts Chapel United Methodist Church, retired employee of Texas Instruments, and a hospice volunteer. She was the owner of East Service Station in Nicholasville and the co-operator of East Service Station on Danville Pike; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Stinnett enjoyed seeing her children and grandchildren succeed, and assisted in their education in any way she could; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Stinnett departed this earthly life at the age of 88 on March 7, 2014, leaving her family, friends, and an entire community in solemn mourning; and

WHEREAS, in addition to her parents, Mrs. Stinnett was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul East; three sisters, Ozella Underwood, Opal Durham, and Rena Morris; and two brothers, Brutus Stinnett and Vernon Stinnett. She is survived by three sons, Paul Douglas East and his wife, Dr. Deborah J. East, Dr. R. Keith East and his wife, Bonnie Cleasby East, and Martin D. East and his wife, Tammy Blevins East; one daughter, Dawna East-McCoy and her husband, Dr. Kenneth McCoy; eight grandchildren, Dr. Nicholas East and his wife, Dally Hubbard East, Adam Christian East, Ryan East, Amanda Leigh East, Lauren Ashley East, Kelsey McCoy, Kendal McCoy and Kaelen McCoy; one great-grandchild, Molly Grace East; and five step-grandchildren, Marshall White, John White, Michelle White McIntosh, Lee Anne White, and Scott White;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate expresses its most profound sense of sorrow and extends its sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and community of Jewell Marie Stinnett East.

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of Jewell Marie Stinnett East.

Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit six copies of this Resolution to Martin East, 103 South 1st Street, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356.
