Rushop Hall is a 17th century listed building which offers bed and breakfast.It is a licensed premise so we are able to offer evening meals (by arrangement) to our guests in the Georgian dining room.

The house has 3 bedrooms available (2 doubles and a twin) all of which are en-suite with shower rooms, wash basins and toilets. Additionally there are 2 sitting rooms available for our guests to relax in and enjoy a glass of wine or simply look at the wonderful scenery of The Peak District National Park.

You can book by e-mail or telephone and we will confirm your booking by e-mail. We request 50% deposit (payable within 2 weeks) upon confirmation with the remainder due upon departure.

Public transport is limited but there is a regular bus service to Chapel-en-le-Frith (circa 3 miles away) from Manchester airport which also passes through Stockport. In terms of rail travel the nearest stations are either Chapel-en-le-Frith or Chinley. If you let us know your arrival times we will happily arrange transport from rail station or bus stop.

When you arrive

Access to Rushop Hall is via a recently tarmacced drive which leads to the rear of the house where guest parking is available in a cobbled area for up to 3 cars. There is also parking for a further 3 cars on the drive itself.

The entrance is at the front of the house. There is a step down to the path leading to the front door with a step up to the door.A small raised threshold leads into the house.

Main Entrance and Public areas

The entrance hall is stone flagged. Immediately to the right is a guest sitting room with a wooden floor and containing seating for up to 5 adults. Next door is the dining room where both breakfast and evening meals are served. It too has a wooden floor with space for up to 8 adults to sit around the dining table.

First Floor Bedrooms

Eight wide, shallow carpeted stairs lead to a small landing before a further seven lead to the first floor where the 3 bedrooms and second guest sitting room are situated. Each room is equipped with a tea tray containing tea, coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, fruit tea and biscuits. Fresh milk is available upon arrival and as required.

Twin Room with En-suite Bathroom (1)

As you approach the top of the stairs the twin room (Virtue) is to your left. Virtue has twin beds which are next to each other with bedside tables and bedside lights by each bed with switches within easy reach. A built in wardrobe is next to the TV/DVD.

The en-suite bathroom is accessed directly from the room and has a toilet, washbasin, with light, mirror and shaving point, and large (1200 mm) shower cubicle and heated towel rail. There is a chaise longue in the room with drawers for further storage.

Double Room with En-suite Shower Room (2)

Immediately to the right of the stairs is Needham, the first of the two double rooms. Equipped with a king size bed, bedside tables, reading light and switches within easy reach, Needham overlooks the cobbled courtyard area to the rear of the house.

Off the bedroom there is a shower room with toilet, washbasin, light, mirror, shaving point, heated towel rail and large (1200mm) shower cubicle. TV/DVD and wardrobe complete the room

Double Room with En-suite Shower Room (3)

Next to the first double room is the final bedroom which is also a double with king size bed, bedside tables, reading light and switcheswithin easy reach. Harris overlooks the garden to the front of the house. It also has a shower room with toilet, washbasin, mirror, light, shaving point, heated towel rail and large (1200mm) shower cubicle. TV/DVD and built in wardrobe complete the room.

Guest Sitting Room

The final room on the first floor is the guest sitting room which has seating for 6 with TV/DVD and a variety of books and games for all to enjoy. This is an area where you can read, relax or take in the wonderful views down the valley.

Outdoors

Rushop Hall is a working farm and whilst we hope you enjoy looking at our animals we do ask that you do not feed them or enter the field areas (other than those on public footpaths) without checking with us first.

We usually feed the animals in the late afternoon and would be happy for you to accompany us.

Additional Information

All of our properties are non smoking.

We do not accept pets in the house but are happy for you to keep them in your vehicle or to offer you an outbuilding for them to sleep in. Please ask us about these options.
