Deepings swimmers were in Grantham on Saturday for the second round of their ‘Grand Prix Meet’. At the end of the evening our swimmers had won just two events and set 64 personal best times and 2 MQT

Katie Rundle had a brilliant evening she not only won the 50m Butterfly but set two Midlands qualifying times in the 50m Butterfly and the 200m Freestyle. She went on to finish 2nd in the 50m Backstroke. Joseph Lund came out on top in hid 200m IM event and he was placed 2nd in both the 50m Breaststroke and Freestyle - Fantastic stuff!

Well Done!

As you can see by the results whole squads have improved significantly we had a record number of personal best times set. This was helped by the fact our 9 & 10 year old girls all doubled their PBs in the 200m Freestyle by setting 100m and 200m times. Our 12 year olds came close to matching the younger swimmers in their 200m Freestyle event too.

The squad all swam well and we look forward to seeing what they can do in the next round which

is on the 16th April
