Candidate Biography and Statement of Candidacy

  1. Write your Statement of Candidacy - no more than 75 words expressing your vision for the Nebraska Chapter and how best the Chapter can serve the membership. Include how you will contribute to realizing this vision.
  2. Write a brief biography - no more than 100 words. Please include your education and work history, as well any social work experience that you would like to highlight.

Candidate Statement: “My vision for NASW would be to see that all social workers have active membership and participation in their professional organization. I will contribute to that vision by remaining active in the NASW board and encouraging active participation whenever I network with other social workers.”

Brief Bio: XXXXX X, XXXXX, LICSW, LADC. MSW, UNO 2001. BS Nursing, UNMC 1981. She is in private practice at XXXXX Counseling, LLC, working with individual and families with a history of trauma, abuse, and substance abuse. She has been a social worker for 12 years. The highlight of her career was attending the Nicaragua-UNO student trip with Dr. Ann Coyne in 1980. Her passion for missions has continued. She sponsors trips for students in local churches and is being trained with Oregon Trail Disaster Relief. ______

  • You must be a current NASW member in good standing.
  • Email a photowith your application for ballot information, board roster and the website. (no physical address will ever show in a public format, only your photo and email address on the website.)
  • Submit your application via email in a word format. (no pdf formats)
  • Commit to attending all board meetings, either in person or virtually.
  • Commit to actively participate on one or more NASW-NE committees.
