Our current materials management offering in Teamcenter,used along with the Substance Compliance solution is enhanced with the new Integrated Material Management. It will provide customers with a more holistic view of material data definitions in Teamcenter.Integrated Material Management enables material engineering property data management for design, analysis and simulation, manufacturing and other core engineering work processes. In the new world of material-driven product designs, Integrated Material Management reduces development costs by delivering immediate benefits which include:
- Enterprise-wide use of approved material information with mission critical product functions such as design, engineering and manufacturing
- Gateway to critical material databases and online material catalogues
- Reliable synchronization between products and associated materials
- Seamless integration with LCA solutions to ensure product compliance
- Part and BOM level reporting on ‘where used’
Your environmental compliance needs are important to us and we are investing in continuing to satisfy them. Although upgrading to Integrated Material Management is not a requirement now, please be aware that there will be no new features added to current Teamcenter materials management after the 10.1.4 release due March 2015. We wanted to let you know about this new technology now as we feel it could enhance your product development process and sustainability initiatives.
