In granting this sanction it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming (USA-S) and Inland Empire Swimming (IES) shall be free and held harmless from anyLiabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. Use of audio or visual recording devices (including a cell phone camera), is not allowed in changing areas, behind starting blocks, rest rooms or locker rooms. Deck Changing is prohibited: Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in the facility locker rooms, or other designated area designated by the host facility, is not appropriate, and is prohibited.Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coachareas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present.

Events start: 5:30 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday:Warm-ups: 8:00-8:35 a.m. (13 & O) 8:40-9:15 a.m. (12 & U)

Events start: 9:30 a.m.

Meetings:Friday: Coaches: 4:15p.m. - Officials: 4:45 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: Coaches: 7:45a.m. - Officials: 8:15 a.m.

Entry Deadline:

Due to last chance entries following IES Short Course Champs, entries must be received no later than Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.to ensure entrance into the meet. Entries will be limited to include teams up to and including the team that has the 350th swimmer entered.We reserve the right to change the warm up and start times after all entries are received.

Rules:Current USA Swimming Rules will govern throughout the meet. The rules and procedures of Inland Empire Swimming also apply. The referee of the meet shall be the final authority for the conduct of the competition. IES scratch rules will be in effect. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Only swimmers, coaches, officials and meet workers are permitted in the deck area. Spectators will not be allowed in the deck area without proof of current USA Swimming membership. The deck area is considered to be a 3 foot area from the edge of the pool and the area behind the start platforms up to the timer chairs.

Course:Indoor,25 yard,8 lane pool with turbulence control racing lane lines. Depending on meet attendance and timeline considerations, seeding may be reduced to 6 Lanes for competition, providing a warm-up/cool-down lane that would be available during competition. Pool meetsUSA Swimming water depth and starting block height requirements. The Competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). Meet Marshalls will be on deck during warm-up sessions.

Timing:The Daktronics Timing System will be the primary time recording system; however, lane timers will be needed throughout the meet. Each team will be responsible for sharing in the timing duties.

Swimmers shall provide their own timers and counter for the 500, 1000 and 1650 freestyle events.

Eligibility:All participants must be currently registered with USA Swimming. USA-S numbers must be included with the entries. Swimmers compete for scoring in their respective age groups. Age on the first day of the meet shall govern the full meet. Swimmers not represented by a coach must check in with the meet referee before warm-ups. Athletes with a disability are welcome and are asked to provide advance notice of necessary accommodations.

SWIMS:The USA Swimming SWIMS database requires that ALL swimmer data be correct before any meet data (swimmer times) will be loaded into the USA Swimming database. If you know of any swimmer data that is NOT correct in the meet database please notify the meet referee as soon as possible. The appropriate changes will be made. The data will be sent to USA Swimming within 3 days of the meet.

Coaches:All Coaches must be currently USA Swimming certified. Proof of current certification must be supplied to the meet referee or administrative office upon request.

Awards:All individual events entered by the deadline will score towards high point scoring. Deck entries and time trials will not be scored. Combined events will be separated into 8 & Under; 9-10; 11-12; 13-14; and 15 & Over as appropriate. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st through 8th place for individual events and 1st through 3rd place for relays. Individual high point awards will be given to each girls and boys age group. No team awards will be given.

IndividualEntries:

Swimmers may enter a maximum of two (2) individual events on Friday and maximum of five (5) individual events on Saturday and Sunday. Entries will be limited to the team that has the 350th swimmer entered. Date of receiving entries determines the order of entry. “No Time”(NT) entries are allowed. All entries must be in yard times. Once the meet has been seeded, swimmers that are already registered in the meet may request to deck enter additional events (up to the corresponding daily limit), pending availability of empty lanes, and at the discretion of the referee, with payment of $3 per event due upon approval. There will be no deck registrations.

The 1650 free, 1000 free, 500 free, and 400 IM will be swum mixed gender fastest to slowest. Swimmers must provide their own timers and counter for the 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyle events. Please estimate times for the 1650 free, 1000 free, and 500 free for swimmers with a “No Time” or old time. There may be a positive check-in for the 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free, and 400 IM depending on the number of entries.Coaches will be informed prior to the first day of the meet if a Positive Check-in will be required. Check-in will close 1 hour before the scheduled event time. If a swimmer fails to check in by the deadline for any of these four events, they will not be allowed to compete in that event. If a swimmer checks in and then fails to swim the event, the swimmer will be disqualified from his/her next individual event.

Events may be combined and swum mixed gender and/or age group depending on the number of entries. If there is a need to reduce the time line, events may be limited to the fastest swimmers. Reductions will begin with the longer events. We will notify all coaches of teams affected if we have to cut swimmers from events.

Relay Entries:Swimmers may enter a maximum of one (1) relay per day. For entry purposes, there are separate girls, boys, and mixed events for each age group. However, relays may be combined and swum together, depending on entries. Mixed relays must consist of 2 girls and 2 boys to be official. Any relay team that doesn’t meet these requirements can compete but will be disqualified.

Time Trials:Time trials may be offered at the discretion of the meet referee during the break before the 500 free and 1000 free events. Time trials will be limited to swimmers already entered in the meet and will count towards the 5 events per day limitation. The cost of each time trial event entered will be $5.00 paid at the time of the swim.

Entry Fees:Entry fees are $3.00 for each individual event, $12.00 for each relay and a $12.00 IESsurchargeper swimmer.

Concessions:Programs, concessions, will be available for sale at the meet. There will be no credit/debit card purchases available.

Facility:Additional spectator and athlete seating will be available in the Gold Gym inside the back door of the high school behind the pool locker rooms. A PA system in the gym will broadcast all announcements, event, and heat information pertaining to the meet. The heat and event information will also be displayed on a video board in the gym. The pool deck and Gold Gym are wheel chair accessible.

Hospitality:MRA will be providing concessions to all Coaches and Officials.

Results:Results will be posted in the pool house throughout the meet. The results will also be available on the Meet Mobile and Meet Bop apps. Final results will be posted on the IES website after the conclusion of the meet.
