Scale Point 26-28, £24,744-£26,277(£13.18-£13.99 per hour)
36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.15am-11.00am and then 2.30pm-6.00pm

We are looking for a conscientious, skilled person to become our Caretaker at Elmwood Infant School. Ideally, you will have experience of being successful in the role of Caretaker/Assistant Caretaker within a smaller school setting and be ready for the challenges that a larger, four form entry school will bring.
This is a full time, permanent post for 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the school building and grounds to a very high standard and includes overseeing a small team of cleaning staff. Good interpersonal skills are essential as the role will involve liaising with other caretakers, contractors, service level providers and members of the school team. The ability to use of email as form of communication is also important.
The successfulapplicant will have:
- Thorough knowledge of the health and safety requirements necessary within a school or other public institution.
- Excellent DIY skills, enabling day-to-day repairs and maintenance of the building to be undertaken
- Ability to use own initiative and work proactively when working alone and as part of a team.
- Experience of liaising with contractors and suppliers.
- Very good interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible.
