Qualifiers at all our shows throughout the summer

Equifest – The show is affiliated to Equifest – held at East of England Showground on the 9-13th August 2017. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify for the following classes; 11,12,15,16,17,18,19. This applies to shows held on 14th May, 4th June & 2nd July. Sept 3rd will hold qualifiers for WH horses/ponies and M&M for 2018 Equifest

Equestrian Life Championships – Held at Oakridge Quarter Horses, Collingham, Newark, Nottinghamshire on 29th & 30th July 2017.

Qualifiers for Showing and Working Hunter classes on the 4th June only and for the Amateur Elite on the 2nd July. See Equestrian life website for more details.

Amateur Elite Finalist – held on 29th & 30th July at Oakridge Arena, Newark. Competitors placed 1st & 2nd in the following classes have 21 days from the date of the show in order to register as an Amateur Elite Finalist. The following classes are Amateur Elite qualifiers; 2,3,5,6,8,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,21,24,25,26 – qualifier on 2nd July

ESUK Championships “your horse”. This show is affiliated to Equine Sports UK Grassroots Championships – held at Arena UK Grantham, Lincolnshire on 3-6th August 2017. The three highest placed exhibits will qualify in each class. Qualify at shows in May, June and July shows only.

MIDARC Championships – held at Wood Farm, Sedgley. Summer Champs on 27th and 28th August 2017. See their website – www.midarc.co.uk for further information. Qualifiers at all shows except the September show.

Senior Showing & Dressage Championships – held at Onley grounds, Rugby on 10th September 2017. Qualifiers open to members and non-members of Senior Showing and Dressage Ltd sponsored by Anthony Evans Insurance. Qualifiers at all shows for Showing and Working Hunter classes.

Senior Showing & Dressage Championships Ltd. – Olympia. Anthony Evans Insurance first round qualifiers on 14th May and 2nd July 2017. This is different from the Senior Showing & Dressage Championships above, see Senior Showing & Dressage website for more details.

Dressage

David Broome Dressage Championships of Great Britain – held at Cricklands Monmouthshire on 29th Sept to1st October 2017. Horse/rider must be unaffiliated to qualify and achieve 58% or more. Qualifiers at all of our shows throughout the summer.

Senior Showing and Dressage Championships – there is an extra section within each of our dressage classes – please mark your entry if you wish to be considered for the Senior pony/horse section (horses/ponies 15+) to qualify. Championship held at Onley Grounds, Rugby on 10th September 2017. See their website for more details.

Senior Showing & Dressage Championships Ltd Information

The following applies to classes 13 & 14 – The Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced First Round Qualifiers only are open to both members and non members of SSADL. No spurs, no Galloping, no wearing of face/body jewellery. Whips must not exceed 30 inches. Foals are NOT permitted in SSADL classes. For in-hand classes, minimum age of handler =9yr old. For Stallions in-hand or ridden classes, competitors must be 16 yrs or over. Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given. Rider/handler/pony/horse combination must stay the same from first/second round qualifiers and the grand final. All competitors should aquaint themselves with SSADL rules before entering. 1st to 3rd in each class will receive a £10 voucher kindly sponsored by Anthony Evans Insurance. Qualification cards will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation. Competitors only need one qualification card per section per season in-hand and/or ridden if already qualified this card must be handed down the line. RING 1 will be held after Class 10 and is open to first and second prize winners from classes 1- 10 inclusive

RING 2 will be held after Class 11 and is open to first and second prize winners from classes 11 -19 inclusive

RING 3 will be held after Class 20 and is open to first and second prize winners from classes 20- 26 inclusive

Supreme Championship

Open to champion and reserve from showing/working hunter/in-hand championships and will be held after last of the above championships

Single Membership is only - £10.00

Family membership; 2 adults and 2 children - £25.00

Additional children @ £5.00 per child after family membership

·  The chance to be eligible for overall points champion. Fantastic trophies are given to the best senior, junior and intermediate who have amassed the most points overall in all classes over the five shows.

REDUCED entry fees for BFRC, all early bird entries must be received by the Wednesday prior to the show.

All classes with the exception of Dressage

Members £8.00 per class on the day

£7.00 per class for entries no later than previous Wednesday

Non-Members £11.00 per class on the day

All entries including Dressage & prior showing/in-hand/working hunter and showjumping, which are eligible to reduced entry fee must be received strictly by the Wednesday prior to each show. Davey’s Livestock Transport Ltd/Equifest Show Pony Lean Rein Championship, riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before 1st January 2017, ponies not exceeding 128cm. Ponies to be led by an attendant and shown in a Saffle Bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.

12 First Ridden Qualifier for Nathan Arnold Show Team/ Equifest M&M First Ridden Championship - M&M riders not to have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January 2017, ponies not exceeding 128cm. Snuggy Hoods/Equifest Show Pony First Ridden Championship, riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January 2017, ponies not exceeding 128cm.

For children in their first year of first ridden – cantering is optional in the individual show.

20 Tiny Tots Ponies not exceeding 128cm, Riders 10yrs and under. Fences not exceeding 30cm, these will be as small as we make them. Assistance allowed.

21 Nursery Stakes Ponies not exceeding 133cm, Riders 13yrs and under. Fences not exceeding 50cm

22 Novice Pony Ponies not exceeding 148cm, Riders 18yrs and under. Fences not exceeding 70cm

23 Open Pony Ponies not exceeding 153cm. Riders 18yrs and under. Fences not exceeding 85cm

24 M&M Open to any M&M to be shown in their natural state.

Small breeds not exceeding 138cm, max height of fences 55cm

Large breeds, max height of fences 75cm

Judged as one class, ponies divided into small and large breeds

(You can select height of fences to jump at the time of entry)

25 Novice Horse Horses exceeding 153cm, Riders any age. Fences not exceeding 75cms

26 Open Horse Horses exceeding 153cm, Riders any age. Fences not exceeding 90cms

Ring 4 Showjumping

Important notice – All showjumping will be jumped at the same time in accordance to the relevant fence heights you wish to jump. Horses and senior riders, ponies and their junior riders jump at the same time but each class will be divided into horses/ponies and seniors/juniors and with prizes separate.

Please ensure you state at time of entry if you are a junior or senior on your entry form. If you are a junior rider but on a horse you will need to compete in the senior rider/horse classes! Accordingly if you are a senior riding a pony, you will need to compete in the senior/horse classes!

(Striding in the double will be set at horse distance)

Team Showjumping

Pre-entries only by the Wednesday prior to show required. A team is made up of 3 or 4 people per team, a team member to jump each height 60cm, 70cm, 80cm & 90cm, the top 3 scores count. There will be a jump off at 70cm (with any team member) if there is a tie, with rosettes/prizes to third place. Team showjumpers will be incorporated into the classes below but may enter as individuals and will be judged separately & must pay two entry fees (2 sets of rosettes will be awarded)
