Welcome to the Beekeepers of the Albemarle website. We invite anyone interested in beekeeping and the beekeeping industry to join us for an exchange of ideas and experiences. Our goals are to promote beekeeping through education and charity.

So you don't have to search for it, here are the notes from our last meeting. I've inserted some copy to go along with some of the sections below.

--Mentorship Program -- Reading books about beekeeping and attending meetings are great ways to learn. But sometimes, you may need a one-on-one question and answer session or hands on guidance with your hive from a seasoned beekeeper. We are in the process of developing a mentorship program to assist new beekeepers by pairing them up with a member who has a wealth of knowledge to share. · --Equipment Exchange -- One of the greatest benefits to belonging to the Beekeepers of the Albemarle is the exchange of information and equipment. In the past, we have used some of our organization's funds to purchase items that would benefit our members. This includes a honey extractor, educational posters, ???HELP ME WITH THIS. These items may be borrowed as needed for personal use or for teaching purposes at school or community events. Membership· --Benefits (cross reference mentorship, equipment exchange here also) Member benefits include:

Monthly meetings to share experiences and learn first hand from other beekeepers
