Virus/Bacteria “Most Wanted” Poster

Procedure:

  1. Students have one period in the library/media center to research their disease. Any additional time needed for research or production of the poster is to be done on their own. The research sheet will be evaluated on comprehensiveness of the information and if notes are in understandable language ( 10 marks).
  2. Students will then have one period in class to design and create their most wanted poster.

Project Description:

Make a wanted poster for one of the bacterial pathogens listed below. Poster is to be on 11" x 17" paper. Include:

1."Photo" (picture/diagram)

2.Description

3.Organism's m.o. (police jargon) (How the organism attacks and spreads)

4.Most common victims to prey upon

5.Hide out of the culprit (where it is most likely to be found)

6.Most common injury done to victim

7.Is it considered armed and dangerous? Rate the degree of damage caused.

(The higher the degree of damage, the higher the reward)

8.Most effective weapons against the germ any other identifying characteristics

(such as tattoos)
