Review JanuaryAction Items:
1)Jennifer Broderick to draw up –Purpose & Procedures for GAP Funding for Programs
Haliburton County HSJCC Program Fund document has been provided by Jennifer
2)Robbin to ask Vets Taxi what else do they need to implement the CHIT Program
Can be done at the Court House. Vets will bill HSJCC, ongoing standby. No one has had to use this yet
3)Robbin to forward confirmation to Laura that John Howard Society has received the $1,000 for the Self-Management Programs
Robbin confirmed the funds have not been received by John Howard Society. Brenda will ensure funds are released .Thom to follow up.
4)Todd to provide Legal Aid (Shanna, Andrea Michelle to replace Shanna ) a List of Organizations where CHIT Program covers transportation-. Ongoing.
5)Guest Speaker:
Andrew will contact a specialist to speak (possibly April) about
“Gender Journeys”
6)If anyone has anything to be added to SWOT document,
Please send this information to Laura to compile,then forward to Thomas to review with Brenda before sending it on to the Regional Committee. No changes. Final document dated Feb 3, 2016, forward to Dave Jarvis.
7)Proposal is being submitted regarding Hidden Homelessness.
Letters of Support by January 15, 2016. Fay Martin will provide drafted letters to Brenda, who will circulate for signatures. Letters received and Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS) Application for Funding/Specific Project submitted.
8)Brenda to request further clarification on what we can and cannot do with our funds. Could HSJCC support low income families who require funds to transport their children to/from appointments? Thom and Brenda to report back on HSJCC Regional & Local Work Plan. / Jennifer

Referral to Melisa, then meets with Dianna, then follow up with appropriate agency.
Future plan affecting Psychiatric clients: The goal is for ONT to operate Mon-Fri.Minden Hosp (because close access to Hwy 35) and Ross Memorial. OTN machines are only good for five years. Require Licensing. Ontario Shores-Youth identified in crisis, access OTN machine, safety plan for up to 12 hrs. Only those deemed acute will be transferred, all others to be helped within the community.

Van posters posted in OPP Lobby says the van is for seniors with or without disabilities. Says to, call Guy. It seems Guy is not a common first name in the county which is causing some people to question who they are to call. The van running Thursdays is working very well. On client was made fun of by neighbours who teased about “taking the little bus.”

One full time employee for management/support of a total of 7 + 17 units on file

  1. Discussion whether guests from the media can sit in on meetings
Only if the purpose is a quick introduction to the media employee, should HSJCC members want a contact for Not-For-Profit events. To take place for two minutes at the beginning of the meeting, then leave.
2.Updated Membership list -Laura updates monthly and posts on website

  1. Thom to follow up on monies released to John Howard Society for Self-Management Programs. Thom to ask Michelle what is our running balance?
  2. Brian to advise Thom if Dianna will be available to attend the Feb 22nd meeting in Peterborough

  1. Laura to remove Draft watermark and update the date, forward SWOT document to Dave Jarvis
