Team Project Awards
- There will be one team project awarded, up to the value of £10,000. This will be judged primarily on the strength of the project proposal. To incorporate the link to proven excellence, each team bidding for a project award must include in its number at least one member of staff from the LIVE Centre. ( staff details,alternatively email r more information).
- Proposals requiring funds for larger items of equipment (i.e. >£10,000) may be submitted if your departmental head has agreed to match/top up the funds. Please include a signed statement of intent with your proposal.
- All RVC staff engaged in teaching areeligible to apply for a LIVETeaching Development Fund Award. However, no team may receive a LIVE Teaching Development Fund Award for two years in succession. Teams may include visiting lecturers from outside the RVC.
- Award submissions must be accompanied by a project proposal, outlining the proposed teaching and learning project, and a proposed budget.
- A clear and detailed timetable must be submitted for the development of the project and reassurance that the team has the time to complete the award within the given time limit. A signature from your Head of Department (HOD) must be obtained on submission of your project, guaranteeing the team’s commitment.
- Please include aclear outline of how you will evaluate the success of the innovation/project. On completion, ideally the project/innovation will be embedded into the curriculum; therefore the relevant strand/module leader or year Leader (or Course Director) should also be associated with the project from the outset.
- The project must be completed within 2 years of the project start date. Any funds not spent at that point would be automatically rescinded.
- The team will be required to submit an interim report in June 2015, detailing their progress on the project, followed by a project completion summary report (minimum 2 sides of A4: introduction, methods, results and discussion) within 2 years of the project start date. Both reports should be submitted to Martha Rodman ().The summaries will be posted onto the LIVE Centre website in order to showcase good practice in teaching and learning at the RVC.
