1. DO YOU KNOW TEXAS MAP? Demonstrate comprehension of map rules and Texas by creating a map of Texas. Include all areas mentioned in the songs and add 3 areas in Texas that are important to you. Be sure to color, have a compass rose and a key.
3. DESIGN A TEXAS STATE QUARTER- Design your own state quarter! Draw a circle that takes up most of the page, then write Texas and the year it became a state 1845 on the top of the circle. At the bottom put this year 20___. In the center choose a symbol that represents our state. When done color it silver or grey.
5. Vocabulary Visuals- Using the following selected terms from unit one, write the definition and then draw a picture of the term.

11. GULF OF MEXICO WEB- Review the information on the Gulf of Mexico and the climate of Texas. (CH.1 section3) Create an illustrated web that describes the effects of the Gulf on Texas. You must show at least 3 factors on our weather and use 5 colors.
13. CHAIN REACTION TO GALVESTON STORM- Show your reaction to the video on the Great Storm of 1900 video in any form you so choose. It can be a picture, political cartoon, written paragraph or poem. You are free to create what you want!!
