The manner of execution of subsidy program
[Section 4(1)(b)(xii)]
No subsidy programmes are in place at DIPSAR. However, the following facilities are offered to the SC/ST, Weaker Sections and Meritorious students :-
(a)Book Bank
It is a facility for SC /ST & weaker section students. Some books will be provided free of cost to them.
(b)Special Component Plan
It is a facility for SC/ST & weaker section students for coaching classes in addition to the normal teaching classes.
(c)Scholarships and Awards :
The University of Delhi & DIPSAR gives scholarships & awards to bright students on the basis of their performance in examinations. The details of these scholarships are given in the prospectus of the institute.
(d)Fee Concessions
(1)Scholarship holders shall be exempted from payment of Tuition Fee, on application.
(2)In case two or more brothers/sisters are admitted in the institute, the brother/sister studying in the lower class shall pay half the prescribed Tuition Fee.
(3)No Tuition Fee shall be charged from son or daughter of employees of Training & Technical Education.
(4)SC and ST students shall be exempted from payment of tuition fees.
(e)Scholarship/Stipend
The following scholarship/stipends are available :-
(1)Merit Scholarship for Diploma/B. Pharm Student : Merit scholarship upto 50% of the sanctioned strength of the students in Diploma 2nd Year and B. Pharm – 2nd, 3rd and 4th year are awarded @ Rs.75/- p.m. The awards are governed by the relevant rules in force from time to time. The student who is awarded merit/merit-cum-means scholarship shall have to execute the prescribed bond.
(2)National Loan Scholarship : Those students who have secured more than 60% marks can submit their application through the Director, DIPSAR to the Directorate of Education for the award of National Loan Scholarship.
(f) Reservation
22.5% of the total number of seats (15% for SC and 7.5% for ST) of the course are reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Each SC/ST candidate who has passed the qualifying examination for the course concerned, may be given 5% relaxation. If the reserved seat still remains vacant, further relaxation shall be given to the extent required in order to fill up all the reserved seats. While applying for admission, he/she will be required to submit the certificate from the competent authority to the effect that he/she belongs to SC/ST.
