8 / 3 / course steel wool / insert in 4" pipe
9 / 2 / 1/8" flat stock, 3/4" wide / 1 foot will do, cut to fit up into the oil pan rim, or use flat washers to accommodate the pan rim ridge
10 / 2 / 1/8" flat stock, 1-3/4" wide / 1 foot will do
11 / 2 / 1/16" flat stock / 12" will do
12 / 1 / Oatey All Purpose Cement, ABS to PVC / I used the cement to join ABS to ABS, did not glue ABS & PVC
13 / 2 / 5" hose clamps / buy SS
Steps
01.1 / ABS Pipe- drill two 1-1/4" holes in line with each other / use a 1-1/4" Hole Saw, leave 1-1/2" between hole edge and pipe end
0.21 / screw in items #5 / should screw in all the way, may need to adjust hole slightly larger, Oatey All Purpose Cement might work too but add it with only a couple threads left, I did not glue these
03.1 / attach item 6 to thread inside of pipe / snug up using flat blade screw driver and hammer
04.1 / glue item #2 to pipe
05.1 / glue item #3 to pipe
06.1 / stuff in item #8
07.1 / Screw in Item #4 / use Teflon tape or pipe dope, tighten
Brackets
08.1 / measure the oil pan for mounting brackets / bracket should use two oil pan bolts on each side, and fit up into the rim or use washers
09.1 / Measure the on-center distance between the two oil pan mounting bolts / Mark, center punch, drill out the bolt holes slightly larger than the bolt shaft diameter
10.1 / Measure down from the oil pan rim to just below the pan at the catch tank location / add 1/4" and write down the measurement
11.1 / trace around the pipe on a piece of the 1-3/4" flat stock / use Step #12.1 measurement and leave that distance from the pipe to end of the 1-3/4" flat stock
12.1 / cut out the curve
13.1 / weld the two bracket pieces / weld at 90 degrees, centered between the bracket holes
14.1 / bend 1/16" flat stock to the same round as the pipe / weld it to the curved part of the bracket so all the curved part is to one side, this is the bracket to catch can mounting surface using hose clamps
15.1 / install the brackets to oil pan / torque the pan bolts per specs., good time to check all the pan bolts
Install the Catch Can & Slobber Tubes
16.1 / install the catch can / using the hose clamps, leave clamps loose at this time
17.1 / determine best fit, on mine the 1" x 7" nipples angle forward with the end above the catch can / Tighten the hose clamps
18.1 / remove the slobber tube lower clamp
19.1 / move slobber tube into nipples / cut the slobber tubes so the tubes extends into the nipple 7", for our coach I don't believe the slobber tubes will back out of the nipple
