NATURAL GAS BOOSTER COMPRESSOR
BENEFIELD SECTION
A circulation of solution in carried out between one absorber and two strippers for absorption and than removal of CO2 from the process gas.Ben field section includes rich solution pumps, lean solution pumps, semi lean solution pumps, reflux pumps, re-boilers and condensers etc
ABSORBER
Absorption of CO2 into solution favors high pressure and low temperature. Process gas (N2, H2, CO2 etc) after passing through stripper re-boilers and knock out drum come to the absorber containing 05 beds of non corrosive Packing material named pall rings filled randomly with 27.3 kg/cm2 and 130 0C temperature respectively. After this counter current flow, CO2 absorbs in solution and process gas comes out at the top at 90 0C and 0.02% CO2, at the bottom, the solution containing absorbed CO2 is rich solution send to both strippers after let downing its pressure from 27.3 kg/cm2 to 0.6 kg/cm2 in hydraulic turbines.
STRIPPER
Stripping of CO2 from solution favors low pressure and high temperature. Each stripper contains 03 beds of packing material named pall rings filled randomly. Four thermo siphon type re-boilers are installed at bottom to heat up the rich solution by passing high temperature process gas in tubes of re-boilers. CO2 strip out from top of stripper at common line with 106 0C and 0.6 kg/cm2and sent to urea section
CO2 FLASH DRUM
CO2 Flash Drum is used in which semi lean solution is coming from absorber where CO2 is strip out by using LHS ejector system and again sent to strippers
DESULPHURIZATION
Worked on desulphurization section, where in organic / organic sulpher is removed from process gas by passing through both cobalt molibidinium and Zinc oxide catalyst beds.
Dry Seal Gas System
Seal gas system is divided into two section primary & secondary in primary seal gas system 13.2 kg/cm2 self gas is injected to primary seal and in secondary seal .05 ~0.1 kg/cm2Nitrogen gas is injected to secondary seal gas system. Compressor is manufactured by HITACHI LTD Japan.
Compressor is driven by 06 stages Steam Condensing Turbine.

Steam Consumption 15.5 ton/hrs.
Turbine is manufactured by SHIN NIPPON MACHINERY LTD.
PROCESS AIR COMPRESSOR
02 Horizontal Split Type Centrifugal Compressor are operated in Parallel which take air from atmosphere & feed it to secondary reformer at 33 Kg/cm2Pressure. Having a discharge flow 30000 NMC/Hr. of each compressor.
Each compressor having a Low Pressure (L.P.C) & High Pressure Casing (H.P.C).
Rated Power of each casing L.P.C. / H.P.C3100/3060 HP.
Design speed of L.P.C / H.P.C 7650/12200 R.P.M.
Manufactured by COOPER BESSIMER CORPORATION LIMITED.
Both compressor are driven by 6776 HP
09 stages steam condensing turbine.
Steam consumption 35.5 ton/hrs. & its operating speed 7650 R.P.M.
AIR BLOWER
Air Blower Made by Flaktwoods.
02 Horizontal Air Blower are Operated in Parallel which take air from atmosphere and feed it to Air Compressor at 0.33kg/cm2 Pressure. Having a discharge flow 36000NMC/Hr of each Blower.
Each Blower are driven by 575KW Electric Motor.
