Perq/HCI Market share update (Sept 06 report)
- Perq/HCI (all figures they report are only estimates)–
- JDMS in14thposition in ad revenue estimates for all Radiology publications that it measures– up from the 16th position last month.
- Overall revenues for Radiology pubs show a1.3% decreasefor YTD 2006. JDMS shows a1.7% increase for YTD 2006 in the Perq Report.

2006 Summary from Diane Diamond
We had a good year in sales with a few new advertisers and returning advertisers in the mix. However, we ended the year $4911.00 lower than 2005 due to the following primary factors:
- SDMS severed their relationship with Amica Mutual Insurance who is no longer providing their insurance program to the Membership. They ran a ½ page 4C ad in every issue. Loss of ad sales is $8857.00 net.
- We had a hard time selling the SDMS Poster this year which would have been an additional $10,500 net.
- There was a decline in Recruitment ads.
- 3 advertisers pulled out of November due to budget cuts, which resulted in a loss of $5900 net in sales. These are Allina, Sonora & Sonotech.

10/20/2006 – Pegasus Lectures. Debbie Anderson - 972-668- 1842 left me a vm for closing dates 2007 so she can coordinate the art better. 12:12 PM Sent her email with 2007 rate card. She's helping Carol who had her 5th baby a boy in Sept.
10/23/2006 – Colleen Decker Media Services. Requested info on Fletcher Allen Healthcare's 2006 advertising. Did 1/4 page BW recruitment ad July, 2006
10/23/2006 – Medison America, Inc. Received Press release from Marc Gallin, emailed thanks but can't run.
10/23/2006 – Essoula, Inc. Rita confirmed she is doing 4 ads in 2007 Jan, March, May & Sept. Had great response to the product at SDMS. Very eager to start their advertising.
10/24/2006 – Philips Ultrasound. Philips had a promo piece delivered to hotel room. They wanted to know why they didn't make the Medal Level Sponsorship. Reason, they didn't do the advertising. Approach for the Poster.
11/01/2006 – Left detailed vm for Mary Roesen to discuss 2007 ad plans. Follow up to SDMS.
10/24/2006 – Cadmet. Only sales reps at SDMS. However, Jim Cadmus requested a kit to be Fed-Exed and they are interested in looking at ads in 2007.
11/01/2006 – Followed up on kit, Jim out until 5th.
11/01/2006 – Wong Doody Advertising. Received media kit request and back issues. I returned call asking who the client is. It could be SonoSite. 3:21 PM Mary returned call this is for SonoSite. Mary is Creative person, Grace Rivera is Media Supervisor. Left vm for Mary. Sent kit with back issues to Grace. Contract due for renewal Jan issue.
11/02/2006 – NovaRad Corporation. Kay wasn't at SDMS. Left vm follow-up on kit sent and Conference.
11/02/2006 – Mayo Clinic. At SDMS discussed advertising and possibly their Banner again but Kimberly told me they will only advertise if they have a specific position. Call in 3 months to see if things pick up.
11/02/2006 – WSI Personnel Services. Met at SDMS. They exhibited because of Denver. Send kit and follow up to see if print ad is possible.
11/02/2006 – ZONARE. Both Lori and Lars were not at SDMS to discuss advertising. Follow up on kit sent. Lori's extension is not in service. Left vm in general mail box.
11/02/2006 – Heritage Medical Products, Inc. Discussed renewal of contract with March, 2007 issue. Will do the same 6x program 1/2 page BW hor but will change to 4C for the Sept issue. Follow up prior to sending the contract. Ad may be new for Jan issue.
11/06/2006 – CIVCO. Met Kate at SDMS, very friendly. Program will stay the same call end of Nov. Kit came back undeliverable left Kate a vm.
10/24/2006 – Pediatrix Medical Group. Met Meghan at SDMS still interested in advertising. Kit mailed
11/06/2006 – Platinum Select LP. Stephanie was not at SDMS, kit mailing sent and follow up.
10/24/2006 – Resources On Call. Exhibited at SDMS was told to contact Jeff Decker.
10/24/2006 – Sonomark. Met at SDMS, interested for their new Doppler. Kit sent.
11/06/2006 – Bristol-Myers Squibb Medial Imaging. Was told to contact Jill Mundy (Product Manager)
at 800-599-5744 to see if I can get more info on advertising decision maker and plans.
10/24/2006 – SONORA MEDICAL SYSTEMS, INC. Finally got to meet Greg Layson personally at SDMS. Plans late Nov make sure I call prior to next deadline.
10/24/2006 – Unetixs. Peter very friendly at SDMS spent alot of time with him. Definitely renewing Cover 3 for 2007.
11/06/2006 – Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute. Same as last few years. Very friendly but doesn't need to advertise.
11/06/2006 – Aloka. Has new machine. Rena told me to try and get Leo to advertise.
11/06/2006 – HITACHI MEDICAL SYSTEMS OF AMERICA, INC. Met with Matt Ernst. They will renew their Page 1 position for 2007, very happy with JDMS.
11/07/2006 - Cone Instruments. Sent Ina the ad easel from Sept issue. They are holding off advertising until they see what type of response they receive from this one ad. Call for March issue.
