Our Monthly Business Meeting will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 210 North Jefferson Avenue Canonsburg, PA on Thursday, October 19th beginning at 6:15 p.m. The block of Jefferson Avenue where the church is located has very limited parking, that section of Jefferson will be one-way and there is parking available in the lower block where the parking meters are located. (You do not need to put money in at night). Our dinner menu for the evening will be Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Glazed Carrots, Tossed Salad, Rolls and Butter and of course, Dessert. The price is $12.00. Please try to have the correct change if not writing a check to Canonsburg BPW. Contact Louise Mroz at 724-745-1597 or by Sunday, October 15th if you are planning to attend. It is very important to get let Louise know if you are attending since we will only be ordering for the number of ladies that respond. Make the Reservations Committee’s job easier by getting in touch with them or returning their phone call when they get in touch with you. REMEMBER THAT EVEN IF YOU DO NOT COME TO DINNER YOU CAN ATTEND THE BUSINESS MEETING WHICH BEGINS AT APPROXIMATELY 7:00 p.m.

The Public Relations Committee will be meeting and greeting the night of our meeting. They are Pat Milioto, Jessica Hrabovsky, Kathy Smith and Jill A. Shook. These members should be at the church by 5:45 p.m. It was decided at the board meeting that the committee that meets and greets will also help with clean-up after the meeting.

Committee Chairs – If you have a report to give at the General Meeting, make sure to write it on a Committee Report form and give to Marilyn. If you are not able to attend the meeting, you can email your report to Marilyn . If you are not going to have a report, let Bev know prior to the meeting that evening by emailing her at .

The next Board meeting will be held at King’s on November 2nd beginning at 5:15 for those who wish to have dinner and 6:00 for those only attending the meeting. Please try to be at King’s by 5:15 if possible if having dinner. Louise will be contacting the board members on the Tuesday before the meeting.

Wear Your Membership Pin Raffle – The Board has decided to not continue with this raffle. That does not mean to forget to wear your pin, for there might be surprise random drawings. Wear your pin to show you are proud to be a BPW member.

Colebrook Chocolate will be sold again this year to raise money for our programs. Orders for Christmas candy are due on Thursday, October 26th. The candy will be delivered for our November 16th meeting. If you are interested in participating and unable to be present at the meeting, contact Jill at 724-747-4418 or email

National Business Women’s Week will be October 15th – 21nd. On Tuesday, October 17th our Vendor Fair will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Southpointe. The theme of this event is Celebrating Women in Business and will feature not only some of our own members but also other women who are managing their own business. Doors will open to begin shopping at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30, our Chinese Auction and 50/50 drawings and then more shopping if you so desire. If you have not bought a ticket, it is not too late. Contact Jill at 724-747-4418. The price for the event is $40.00 On Thursday, October 19th will have our regular monthly meeting. District Director Pat Milioto will be making her official visit. The Ecumenical Event will be held on Saturday October 21st at Hilton Garden Inn in Southpointe. The time is 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

WELCOME to our new members Cherie Dixon and Joyce Griffith. Joyce is a retired Early Childhood Teacher who now designs and makes children’s clothing and Cherie is the owner of her own business-Truly Eventful with Cherie. They will both be vendors at our Vendor Fair. Make sure to introduce yourself to then.
