Previous Trip – February 18th – Museum of Flight

The first Metro Day with Dave trip of 2016 was to the Museum of Flight, a very easy trip from Issaquah with only one transfer of buses on an almost-door-to-door routing. Once at the Museum, we serendipitously timed our lunch at the Wings Café before all of the students visiting that day descended on the Café! After lunch, we split up and headed to the various exhibitssince we had about 2 hours to explore the exhibits that interested each person. It was such a beautiful day, some of us ventured outside to see the static aircraft on display, and while most didn’t go across the street to see the Shuttle Trainer exhibit, we could easily see the progress being made on the new Aviation Pavilion currently under construction next to the Shuttle Trainer building; it is scheduled to open in July, 2016.
