PASS Health and Safety Standards:
Standard 5: The student will use interpersonal skills to enhance health and safety.
1. Identify verbal and nonverbal communication.
2. Describe and identify a need, want, and feeling.
3. Formulate refusal skills that enhance health and safety.
4. Demonstrate nonviolent strategies to resolve conflict.
5. Distinguish between positive and negative behaviors used in conflict situations.
6. Demonstrate the ability to communicate consideration, caring, and respect for self and others.
7. Identify characteristics of good listening skills that build and maintain healthy relationships.
Based on what I know about my students, where do I expect them to be by the end of the interval of instruction?
6. Growth Target(s)
The target for all five students is to demonstrate higher percentages in the almost always category in each of the targeted behaviors at least 60% of the time by the end of the year (average of May and June chart).
7. Rationale for Growth Target(s)
These targets were chosen as these five students need additional assistance understanding social interactions and controlling their emotional responses as measured by baseline information from the Social Skills Checklist administered during the month of September.
