December 20, 2004 Henry News…

Adam DeJong of Watertown spent Thursday afternoon at the home of his grandparents, Terry and Judy Kos. He returned home in the evening with his parents, Brian and Kathy DeJong who were also supper guests at the Kos home.

Several neighbors and friends were Saturday morning coffee guests at the home of Dale and Diane Kludt.

Jill Flood of Hazel and Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown choir and orchestra Christmas concert, A Christmas Celebration, at the Watertown civic arena on Monday evening.

Alice Bruns was emcee for a Silly Fashion Show at Christian Women’s Club in Watertown on Tuesday. Alice, along with Rita Hoch also modeled in the show.

Lynn and Barb Harley attended the Redlinger Brothers Christmas party last Thursday in Watertown.

Laura and Tyler Leheska of Pukwana spent last weekend at the Kenny Kittelson home. On Monday, Tyler spent some time with his great grandparents, Mick and Jelaine Omman.

Stan Triplett and son, Craig of Las Vegas, NV were weekend guests at the Chuck and Debbie Engels home.

Harold and Jeanette Hansen were Monday dinner guest at the Don and Delores O’Neill home in Watertown. Also attending the dinner were the other Christianson sisters, Ilene Paulsen of Watertown, Harry and Clarice Severson of Clark, and Darrell and LaVonne Oleson of Owatanna, Minnesota.

Lois Schoepp called on Lola Alexander and Mildred McLaughlin at the Wookey Assistant Living Home in Clark on Wednesday forenoon.

Alice Bruns took Violet Winemiller of Clark to the Watertown clinic and hospital for tests on Wednesday. Violet is a former resident of Henry. On Thursday, Wendell Bruns visited his mother, Violet Winemiller at the Wookey Assistant Living Home in Clark.

Stephanie Boehnke attended the Christmas party for the Clark County 4-H Junior Leaders in Clark Sunday evening.

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown Middle School Christmas concert on Tuesday evening at the DD Miller auditorium.

Sally Luvaas was a Tuesday afternoon caller at the Fain and Roxanne Geiger home.

Terry and Judy Kos were Sunday dinner guests at the Bret and Karen Henricks home at rural Waverly. In the afternoon they attended the Sunday School program at the Cornerstone United Methodist Church.

Terry and Ruth Boehnke hosted an early Christmas at their rural Watertown home. Attending were Bob and Bonnie Boehnke of Watertown, James and Holly Freudenberg and Andy Boehnke of Sioux Falls, Randy and Carol Wiedebush and family of Mansfield, Dave and Annette Boehnke and girls of Clark, Lynn, Barb and Jenna Hartley, Adam and Laci Hartley and Brodie and Arlen and Joan Boehnke and family of Henry.

Erin Bruns of Lake Preston spent the weekend with her father, Ashley Bruns and her grandparents, Wendell and Alice Bruns. Erin also participated in the Christmas pageant Sunday morning at the Henry United Methodist Church.

Harold and Jeanette Hansen were among those that attended the neighborhood coffee party Saturday forenoon at the Dale and Diane Kludt home.

Rod, Cherie and Taylor Jans were Sunday dinner guests at the Milo and Janice Kolden home in Clark on Sunday.

Arlen Swedeen “played” Santa Claus at the Garden City Apartments on Saturday.

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown 9th grade basketball game on Thursday evening. Later, Hunter Wientjes visited at the Kittelson home.

Wendell and Alice Bruns were Saturday evening visitors and supper guests at the Harlan, Mary and Lisa Bruns home near Bruce, SD.

Jack and Marilyn Henning and Lester and Lois McGillivary of Watertown were Thursday evening supper guests at the Harold Hansen home. Later the group enjoyed an evening of lefse making.

Betty Keyes of Clark and Arlene Sharp spent Saturday afternoon at the Troy and Nicky Watson home and got acquainted with their new great granddaughter, Trinity Lea.

Doris Coyle was a guest at the Veryl and Sandy Hoftiezer home in Watertown Saturday. On Sunday she accompanied Calvin and Lois Schoepp to the Morris Van Sickle home in Watertown for dinner.

Fain and Roxanne Geiger were Saturday evening supper guests at the Kelby and Toni Goodall home.

Keri Nelson has completed school at the U of M at Crookston, MN and is now residing in Clark.

Arlen Swedeen helped Ashley Swedeen celebrate her birthday Saturday at the LeRay Swedeen home.

Hunter Wientjes of Clark celebrated his 1st birthday with a dinner on Saturday at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home. Family and friends attending the dinner were Brian and Cindy Wientjes, Kathy, Steph, and Cody Wookey of Clark, Collin Wientjes of Sisseton, Cheryl and Maggie Hovde, rural Vienna, Dave and Jackie McNeil and family of Warner, Rick, Vickie and Kayla Burchatz of Lake Pelican, Chris and Kayla Fisher of Watertown and Joan Boehnke.

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT

A girl, Trinity Lea, was born on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. to Troy and Nicky Watson. Trinity weighted 8 pounds and 10 ounces and is 20 ½ inches long. Grandparents are Danny and Bonita Sharp of Henry, Brian and Pam Hull, Tulare and Rollie Watson of Huron. Great grandparents are Betty Keyes, Clark, Arlene Sharp, Henry, Gordon and Nadine Hull and Clyde Binger of Tulare and Francis Watson of Huron. Great – Great grandmother is Alice Shirk of Clark.
