Teaching Interests

I am interested in advancing may passion to teach in a university setting and continue to engage in significant research towards my area of expertise in the Antebellum South and the American Civil War, and Latin American studies, particularly the mid nineteenth century period . I am also knowledgeable and proficient in educating students on the Colonial era, pre and post Industrial age and Western Civilization from 1500 to present. My PhD dissertation emphasized the role of Women’s labor in the South during the American Civil War.
