Young Life Camp Fundraising and Scholarship Information
Young Life Camp is the greatest week of kids’ lives! We are committed to making sure ANY and EVERY student who wants to attend Young Life or WyldLife camps has the opportunity to do so. While the cost of bringing each student to camp is fixed, the below options are available to all students to reduce the financial burden on students and families.If you need to speak with a Young Life staff member to discuss the details of any of these options or you have additional needs you may call our office at 319-337-9072.
YL Campership: Students proving financial need are eligible for Campership fundsmade possible through local donations. Campership Application available on our website.Campership amounts range: $100 - $300 / Flower Sales: Students can sell flowers through our annual flower sale March 1 – April 28. 40% of total sales are applied to camp balance. Order form packets and instructions are available at YL/WL and the office.
No limit on proceeds. Highest 2016 earning = $165.
United Way Summerships: Our local United Way chapter provides up to five $200 scholarships per camp trip to qualifying students. Applications can be found on the local United Way website and are processed and approved on a first-come first serve basis.
Scholarship Amount: $200 / Spring YL Work Projects: Young Life organizes four spring fundraising work days. Students will primarily be mulching and outdoor yard work. Projects last 3 hours, typically happen on Saturdays/Sundays in April/May, and students will earn $15/hour of work. Transportation is available.
Students can earn $45 - $180
Payment Plans: All families are welcome to arrange a payment plan. Monthly payment amount can be adjusted to fit each family’s ability to pay.
Monthly payment range: $10 - $100 / Coffee Sales: Students can sell coffee through our year-round fair-trade coffee sale. Order forms are available by request or on our website.

Young Life staff members are eager to work with families and students to make camp affordable and possible for all students. Students can cover the full cost of camp if they utilize every fundraising opportunity!
