8th Grade Field Trip
Dear Parents,
The 8th Grade Blue and Gold Teams are preparing for our spring field trip! This year we will visit the Maryland Science Center on Friday, June 5th 2015. The trip offers a unique chance to combine classroom learning and fun at the Science Center. The students will spend their day viewing exhibits in Earth & Nature, Health & Human Body, Physics & Phenomena, and Space & Aerospace Science that connect to the state Science Standards. Students will have plenty of time to explore the many interactive exhibits the Science Center has to offer. We will also watch an IMAX presentation, entitled “The Human Body.”
We will depart from Northley at 7:30 AM and return at 6:00 PM. Students must be at Northley by 7:00 AM. The cost of the field trip is $45.00 per student. Money is due by Friday, May 1, 2015. If you would like to make 2 payments, the 1st payment of $20 is due Friday, March 27, 2015. Please return the permission slip below with either cash or check payable to “Penn Delco School District” to the homeroom teacher. We will be eating lunch at the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Students may pack their own lunch or bring money the day of the trip.
We are in need of chaperones for this trip and your attendance will be greatly appreciated. The cost for chaperones is $45.00. If you are interested in chaperoning, you may visit the NMS homepage and click on, “Teacher Webpages,” (on left). On the left, please click on either “8th Grade Blue Team,” or “8th Grade Gold Team.” Then click on the link for “8th Grade Field Trip Chaperone Sign-ups.” Fill out the form and a teacher will contact you through email to confirm your attendance and payment. Chaperone space is limited.

1. Please avoid scheduling vacations, appointments, and other absences as we cannot offer a refund.
2. A student may be excluded from the field trip due to suspension. As always, students should dress according to district policy.

I/we acknowledge that by signing this form the student is responsible for his/her behavior conforming to the above stated policy. Any behavior(s) not conforming to this policy will result in the student forfeiting the privilege of attending this field trip and the monies involved for the Maryland Science Center trip only. I/we are also aware of the due date for the monies required for this trip.
