God is the good Shepherd

ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

1. goal

Members will understand that they are God’s sheep. They will learn how to respond to His guidance.

2. introduction

The Lord is our Shepherd who guides us and takes care of us in the best possible way. He does not force us against our own will, but He desires for us to willingly respond to His guidance. If we do not value His guidance and we respond to it in a wrong way, we will miss the privilege of receiving His blessings.

3. QUESTION

How should Christians respond to the guiding hands of their Shepherd?

b.______

c.______

4. CONTENT

The Bible teaches us how we should respond to the Lord, our good Shepherd.

A. John 21:15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."

We should love our Lord Jesus Christ.

B. John 10:3 The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

We are willing to listen to His voice and allow Him to lead our lives.

C. John 10:9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.

We are willing to be taken care and protected by our Shepherd.
