This class will cover taking your financial information and completing the VDOE’s School Nutrition Financial Report. The ability to interpret the financial outcomes of operational decisions is essential to effective management of school nutrition programs. With changing federal regulations, increasing program cost and improvements to the quality and nutrition content of school meals, it is imperative that school nutrition program directors understand financial management as it relates to the school nutrition program.

Nutrition 101 provides a basic overview of nutrition. The module incorporates a variety of learning activities to engage participants on a personal level. The learning objectives for each of the ten lessons are achieved through completion of all lesson components. The course meets the nutrition education requirement for Level 1 certification
