2.  Approval of the Proposed Agenda

a.  After review of agenda the Board Members will make necessary changes and approve agenda accordingly.

3.  Approval of the Business Meeting Minutes of September 21, 2017

a.  The Board will review, amend, if necessary, and adopt the minutes.

4.  Approval of the Executive Session Minutes of September 21, 2017

a.  The Board will review and adopt, with any necessary amendments, Executive Session minutes.

5.  Complaint Committee Report

a.  Complaint Committee will present reviewed complaints and inform Board of current status.

6.  Continuing Education Committee Report

a.  Committee Chair will inform Board of recordings of current status.

7.  Review of PSI examination results

  1. Robin Bailey, Executive Director will report most recent stats from PSI Examination Services.

8.  Old Business

a.  No Lead Saddles

  1. Board will discuss the topic of no lead saddles that had been previously discussed at the August 17, 2017 Board meeting.

b.  BGE Homes

  1. Board will discuss correspondence received by Mr. Bowersox regarding BGE Homes and the legality of the company being recognized as a gas supplier.

c.  Underground Utilities

  1. Board will discuss the topic of underground utilities and new construction being built in local jurisdictions across the State of Maryland.

9.  New Business

a.  MPMIA December Meeting

  1. Board will discuss correspondence received by Larry Schuyler on October 2, 2017 regarding the MPMIA December 13, 2017 meeting /lunch to be held at the VFW Post 7464 Grasonville, MD.

10.  Correspondence

a.  MOSH Seminar

  1. Board will discuss correspondence received on October 2, 2017 from Scott Schott, Chief Inspector, Hartford county requesting approval for himself and Mike Turner to receive 4.0 Continuing Education hours for attendance at the MOSH held on September 28, 2017.

b.  Backflow Instructor Registration

  1. Board will discuss correspondence received on September 29, 2017 from Tim Haley from local regarding the approval of Mark Uzarowski, ASSE certified as a Backflow/Cross Connection instructor.

c.  LP Certification

  1. Board will discuss correspondence received from Ms. Meyers on October 2, 2017 on behalf of Kathleen Lange from Washington County regarding the Master Gas Fitter’s license policy with regard to holding the Propane Gas Fitter Certification.

d.  Appliances and Water Heaters

  1. Board will discuss correspondence received from Deb Stull on October 10, 2017 regarding the required license to do work on gas appliances.

e.  Propane Gas Pennsylvania

  1. Board will discuss correspondence received from Robert Michel on September 7, 2017 regarding the qualifications for the Propane Gas Fitter Certification.

11.  Counsel’s Report

a.  Counsel will inform the Board of current changes in the statute, regulations pending litigation, or any other matters as necessary.

12.  Chair’s Report

a.  Chair will address the Board as necessary.

13.  Executive Director’s Report

a.  Robin Bailey, Executive Director will inform the Board current events and changes that may need to be addressed.

14.  Executive Session

a.  Approval to enter into Executive Session

  1. Board will enter into a private session to discuss with Counsel the eligibility of license applicants and /or criminal convictions if necessary.

b.  Approval of the findings of the Executive Session of October 19, 2017

15.  Adjournment

The next public meeting of the State Board of Plumbing will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017.
