3.CHP
CHP have had adverts on local radio stations, press releases in Clydebank Post and Lennox Herald, George handed round the press release.
At the previous PPF Tom had talked about who was on the NHS Board, George handed out a list with pictures and job titles of those on the Board.
The advert which appeared in the Metro where West Dunbartonshire was missed out, Phil flagged this up with Ally McLaws.
It is still unknown when the budgets will be allocated.
4.Reps Report from CHP Meeting
Muriel Robertson, PPF Representative reported that Alan McDevitt, GP was elected as Vice Chair to the CHP Committee.
Meetings for the coming year have been agreed.
Previously it was not recognised that there were superior services in Dumbarton than Clydebank – this will need to be levelled out. Schemes of Establishment – there will need to be some changes, such as the voluntary representation and the dissolution of A&CNHSB.
5.CHP Plan & Priorities (Phil White, Health Improvement & Inequalities Manager)
Phil had a 74 page document he gave a talk about Health Improvement within the document. The corporate plan will be fairly moderate this year, all plans are just outlines.
Phil handed out the draft Health Improvement Plan for the CHP which states what the broad aims are, Phil ran through some of the good projects that are currently going on.
The first task is that Argyll & Clyde and Greater Glasgow have had different ways of doing things so it’s trying to bring both practices together so we can use across the board.
6.Continence Delivery Services in Clydebank
The Planning Implementation Partnership (PIP) and the Forum on Disability along with the Community Care Forum realised their was a gap for delivery service in Clydebank. The Manager of Clydebank LHCC at the time sourced some funding and liased with Social Work, due to staff leaving the service did not get underway and there is now a new Manager and they have been told informally that the money is no longer available, the Forum on Disability have written to Keith Redpath, CHP Director as they have a letter saying that the money was there for the service. There was a brief discussion about what happens in other areas, Dumbarton, Drumchapel and Vale of Leven all have a service it is only Clydebank who don’t.
