MEETING MINUTES

November 13, 2007

CALL TO ORDER - The November 13, 2007 District Representatives Meeting was called to order by Jeanne Jeffery at

7:05 pm at Spring Mills Elementary School, Art Center.

ROLL CALL - District Representatives present: 1, 1 Alternate, 3, 4 Alternate, 5, 7, 10, 10 Alternate, 12,

13, 13 Alternate, 14, 16.

GUESTS- Dorothy Kokocinski, Bernice Baldwin, Jim King, Todd Owoc, Ron Rinkinen

MINUTES – Jeanne Jeffery presented the minutes for the October 9, 2007 meeting. The minutes were amended.

A motion was made to approve the amended minutes from October 9, 2007. M/P Carter S/T Durand The Motion carried.

TREASURER’S REPORT – Amy Schmerer presented the Treasurer’s Report for October 2007. A discussion followed.

Amy Schmerer stated that we have one more bill for lawn maintenance; $850 to Mona for the Christmas Party; bill beach for the ladder on the dock. A discussion followed.

A motion was made to approve the Treasurer’s Report for October 2007. M/J Sturm S/M Hewitt The Motion Carried.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT – Jeanne Jeffery welcomed all the district reps, as well as resident guests.

Jeanne stated that the Road Commission is done with their assessment – they will be sending out letters the first or second week in January to set a meeting to continue move forward on repaving of our roads. She indicated that everything is on track and we are ready for the next step. A discussion followed.

Jeanne presented a District Deep Restriction Assignment List. She indicated that in May 1994 the districts were rezoned so that an equal number of lots were in each district. She reported that this does not change your deed restriction assignment, only your district. She went on to say that your district could be #3 but your deed restrictions could be #2. A discussion followed.

ACTIVITIES -

Christmas Party – Jeanne stated that Mona Snyder, Denise Jungohan and Nancy DeAgostino are preparing for the Christmas Party, which will be held on Saturday, December 8th. She indicated that they planned to do set-up on Friday, December 7th around 9 pm. She encouraged everyone to attend.

Architecture – Ron Rinkinen stated that he has had an approval request for an addition request for 1644 Apollo – master bedroom on the back of the house.

Deed Restriction – Ann Taylor stated that everything is fine. She reported that there is a tractor trailer in someone’s driveway and a school bus on Ramada – cards will be issued.

Jeanne stated that the lawyer is going to court for 4 or 5 residents who are not complying with their deed restrictions. She is happy to see that all the hard work the committee has done this past year has paid off. She is certainly looking forward to a decision on the trailer issue.

Jeanne noted that Phil Baldwin has put his pontoon on blocks. She indicated that it looked good. A discussion followed.

Beach – Kevin will be pulling out the buoys and the dock November 10, 2007. There are no wheels on the dock. There is a plan to pull it out anyway wheels or no wheels and possibly to get the wheel system fixed. Tony has fixed the system several times. Please note that American Marine pulled the wheels off. Kevin called them to put the wheels back on. A discussion followed about replacing the dock.

Beautification – Marie Hewitt stated that the water will be shut off on October 22, 2007 and the fall clean-up is complete. She asked for help in putting the Christmas wreaths and/or lights out.

Amy Schmerer asked for $50 to buy new lights for the entrances, as her husband would like to add to the Christmas decorations at the entrances. A discussion followed.

A Motion was made to allow Dan Schmerer to purchase new Christmas lights for the entrances. M/D Hoogaboom S/J Sturm The Motion carried.

Safety – Jeanne stated that road plowing will be as we go again this year – because we are low on funds we may hold off on the 5 inch rule to keep costs down.
Gordon Jungjohan stated that he would get the barrels out but suggested that the residents at the corners should be responsible for maintaining them – keeping the lids on, etc. A discussion followed. He went on to say that he feels if no one will maintain them then we shouldn’t do any barrels. A discussion followed.

Keys – NO REPORT

OLD BUSINESS – Don Hogaboom stated that he has the website up and running – he has added deed restrictions to the website. He plans to add the deed restriction district list discussed tonight to the website also. He indicated that the site will have meeting minutes and our current newsletter along with the by-laws. He encouraged everyone to log on to see it. He went on to say that if anyone had suggestions, etc., let him know.

Janine Sturm stated that she has spoken with the Duck Lake Center regarding using Spring Mills and possible costs for that use. She was happy to report that there will not be any costs this year, other than the annual meeting.

NEW BUSINESS – Janine Sturm stated that she has been storing a file cabinet for the association for about 10 years and wondered if it could be picked up and stored in the shed. A discussion followed. There is not a lot of room in the shed and it was suggested that we add shelves for more storage space.

NEXT MEETING - The next meeting will be Tuesday, January 8, 2007 at 7 pm in the Spring Mills Elementary Art Room. Jeanne encouraged all district representatives to be present.

ADJOURNMENT – A Motion was made to adjourn the meeting. M/T Durand S/G Jungohan The Motion carried.
