Job Summary: / Responsible for providing individual, family, and group rehabilitative mental health services to clients in assigned programs.
Major Responsibilities: /
- Provide individual, family and group therapy to clients 0-25 years old and their collaterals.
- Provide supervision & field instruction to Occupational Therapy Fieldwork Students from local accredited educational institutions.
- Provide case management and rehabilitative services to parents/caregivers of assigned clients.
- Work as an active team member and closely collaborate with team members, primarily in the provision of children’s treatment services, also serving in adult programs as assigned.
- Serve as care coordinator for clients as assigned. Responsibilities include coordination of all services with other providers and completion of all coordinated care documentation.
- Interface and collaborate with invested stakeholders in client’s treatment (i.e. personnel of schools, DCFS, DMH, etc.)
- Assist client in developing independent living skills to promote independence and self-sufficiency, as developmentally and clinically appropriate.
- Co-facilitate and lead psycho-educational, socialization, rehabilitation, and life-skills groups.
- Develop and assess effectiveness of individualized treatment plans and client progress.
- Provide outreach services to individuals in the community.
- Participate in milieu activities of assigned programs.
- Work, within scope of practice, as part of treatment team in collaboration with the psychiatrist, therapist, case manager, and other team members.
- Provide clinical crisis assistance, as needed, within scope of practice
- Maintain documentation in compliance with agency, HIPAA, and DMH standards.
- Ensure clinical documentation in client records is of high quality including timely submission.
- Arrange work schedule in accordance with the agency’s needs.
- Attend regular staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
- Comply with agency’s policies and procedures.
- Meet expected performance hours as assigned by supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: / MA, MS, or OTD from regionally accredited graduate program. Two years clinical experience preferred in delivering mental health services to children. Current NBCOT Registration and CBOT License. Valid CA driver’s license and current automobile insurance. Fluent Spanish speaking ability preferred.
