One convicted for committed rape a minor girl :- Shri H.S. Sharma, ASJ/Tis Hazari Court, Delhi held one Ashok Kumar R/o Gorakh Pur (UP) guilty of committing rape of a minor girl at Jawahar Camp, Kirti Nagar on 24.1.99. He has been sentenced 8 ½ years rigorous imprisonment.

One convicted for murder :- Shri Narinder Kumar, ASJ/Fast Track Court, Rohini, Delhi held one Shrinath Chauhan S/o Prem Singh Chauhan R/o Mukundpur, Delhi guilty of committing murder of his wife Sarika @ Sonia and daughter Tanya, aged 2 ½ years. He has been sentenced life imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs. 25,000/-, in default of payment of fine, he shall undergo rigorous imprisonment of six months.

Four persons convicted for murder :- Dr. Kamini Lau, ASJ/Rohini Courts, Delhi held four accused namely Pradeep S/o Swaran Singh, Kapil S/o Lachchu, Pradeep S/o Sukhbir Singh and Roshan S/o Birbal Singh guilty of committing murder of one Kalo Singh, aged 48 years S/o Sudhir Singh. They have been sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for life for the offence and a compensation for a sum of Rs. 20,000/- each to be paid to the LRs/family of the deceased Kalo Singh failing which the said compensation amount shall be recovered from their estates/property. In alternative the accused would undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 6 months in case if the compensation is not realized from their properties.

Public help is sought in identifying the following bodies :- New Delhi Railway police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male, aged around 20/22 years, Ht. 5’, round face, wheatish complexion, thin built, wearing light blue pants and jacket, found on 18.10.07.

New Delhi Railway police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male, aged around 35/40 years, Ht. 5’5”, long face, sallow complexion, medium built, wearing blue pant and blue shirt, found on 17.10.07.

Hazarat Nizamuddin Railway police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male, aged around 50/55 years, Ht. 5’6”, sallow complexion, oval face, normal built, wearing white/red/grey lining T-shirt and pant, found on 18.10.07.

Sarai Rohilla Railway police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male, aged around 40/45 years, Ht. 5’4”, sallow complexion, medium built, wearing pink shirt, found on 17.10.07.

Railway Main Delhi police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male, aged around 35 years, Ht. 5’6”, sallow complexion, round face, strong built, wearing green check shirt and coco-cola pants, found on 16.10.07.

TWO DESPERATE DACOITS ARRESTED: 03 CASES WORKED OUT

With the arrest of two persons, namely 1.Manoj Kumar @ Thekedar s/o Girdhari Lal r/o A-44, Sawan Park, Ashok Vihar, Delhi. (31 yrs) 2.Chander Bhan @ Pathak s/o Kirpal Singh r/o Lal Bagh, Loni Mandi, Karawal Nagar, Delhi (26 yrs) Outer District Special staff had busted a gang of Dacoits operating in the area of Outer District and other adjoining Districts and had worked out as many as two cases of Arms Act and a very sensational case of Dacoity committed in the area of Jahangir Puri just two weeks ago.

BRIEF FACTS

Keeping in consideration the increasing robberies in Outer District, a special team of Special Staff, Outer District was formed by Sh P S Rana, ACP, Operations under the leadership of Insp Bishan Mohan comprising of SI Jasmohinder Chaudhari, HC Naresh, HC Yogesh Kumar, HC Rishi, HC Rohtash, Ct Hari Kumar, Ct Gajender and Ct Surender Singh on 20.10.07. At about 05.30 PM, Special staff personnel were present in the area of PS Saroop Nagar and were checking the suspected two wheelers. During the course of checking two persons coming towards Ring Road from Mukund Pur side on Motorcycle were Signalled to stop but they tried to speed away from the spot were apprehended by the staff and on their personal search, one country made pistol along with a live cartridge and a Spring Activated knife were recovered from Chander Bhan & Manoj respectively. The numbers on the rear number plate of the motorcycle had been intentionally removed by them. On sustained interrogation, it was disclosed by them that they had committed Dacoity along with others in the area of Jahangirpuri some two weeks ago and today also going to commit robbery in the area of PS Rohini.

ACTION TAKEN:

Cases registered vide FIR No. 48/07 & 49/07 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Saroop Nagar, Delhi.

  3. Case FIR No. 49/07 dated 19.10.07 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Saroop Nagar, Delhi,

ACCUSED ARRESTED:

  1. Manoj Kumar @ Thekedar s/o Girdhari Lal r/o A-44, Sawan Park, Ashok Vihar, Delhi. (31 yrs)
  1. Chander Bhan @ Pathak s/o Kirpal Singh r/o Lal Bagh, Loni Mandi, Karawal Nagar, Delhi. (26 yrs)

RECOVERY MADE:

  1. One Motorcycle No. DL 8S AG 9415 (Hero Honda Glamour) Red & Black Colour used by the Dacoits while committing Dacoity on the night of 06/07-10-2007, connected to case FIR No. 644/07 dated 07.10.2007, u/s 392/397/34 IPC, PS Jahangirpuri, Delhi.
  2. One country made Pistol along with a live cartridge which was also used by the accused persons on the day of Dacoity from the possession of accused Chander Bhan @ Pathak.
  3. One Spring activated knife from the possession of accused Manoj Kumar@ Thekedar.

Profile:

Accused Manoj Kumar is a resident of District Churu, Rajasthan. He came to Delhi some 10/12 years ago and started selling vegetables in Subzi Mandi, Azadpur, Delhi. Here, he came in contact with Bhim, Inder Bhan (Brother of Bhim) and Chander Bhan etc. They all formed a group and started robbing businessmen coming from outside Delhi to Subzi Mandi, Azad Pur to buy Fruits and Vegetables. Slowly but gradually they developed themselves into known Robbers. They selected soft targets in the form of Business men of Subzi Mandi, started conducting their rackey and looting them while they were carrying huge cash with them. Immediately after looting them, they use to run away from Delhi for a considerable period so that the case cools down. In the instant case also all five of them ran away from Delhi to their respective places in Eastern UP on 07.10.2007 (next day of Dacoity) and came back to Delhi just two days before they were arrested.

Accused Manoj has earlier been arrested in 10 different cases of Attempt to Murder, Robbery, Arms Act & Motor vehicle theft. Whereas, accused Chander Bhan is facing trial in at least 12 cases including a triple murder case of PS Bawana and other cases of Robbery, Attempt to murder and Arms Act. Bhim and his brother Inder Bhan are desperate robbers of Eastern UP. Inder Bhan is learnt to have died in a police encounter in Azam Garh, UP last year. Bhim is presently hiding himself in Azam Garh and efforts are on to arrest him.
