The 2015 “Harvest Festival” is being hosted through a partnership between the San Bernardino City Unified School District, Inland Empire Concerned African-American Churches (IECAAC), San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, The Salvation Army, and Arrowhead United Way. All of the partners are proud to announce the2015 “Harvest Festival” which is our Annual Community Wellness and Resource Festival on Saturday on November7, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the parking lot between the New Hope Family Life Center and the San Bernardino City Unified School District Family Resource Center. It will be a giant Parking Lot Extravaganza.

IECAAC is continuing to promote Disaster Preparation for the churches as well as the community. There will bedemonstrations on the use of disaster preparedness kits, and information on creating disaster preparedness plans for families including the garnering of adequate and effective emergency supplies for households.

This year IECAAC and Time for Change will have a special informational booth on Prop 47.

which downgrades many drug possession and theft crimes from felonies to misdemeanors. Qualified defendants who have served their time and are off probation or parole may apply to be resentenced as misdemeanants; defendants currently serving time or on probation can also apply, and may be entitled to release. There will be knowledgeable individuals available.

We are inviting all community organizations, agencies, faith-based organizations providing services in San Bernardino to participate by hosting a resource table/booth.

The festival will be attended by families, relative caregivers and community partners within the community of San Bernardino and its surrounding areas. We would like to provide our community with information, resources and services to promote safe and healthy families. We are asking that our vendors host some sort of interactive/educational game that includes simple giveaways.

No fees will be charged to participants. Free food, games, kids’ activities, door prizes and entertainment will be provided. We look forward to your participation as we work together to strengthen families in the City of San Bernardino.

Set up begins at 9 a.m. and all vendors must be ready by 10 a.m. Please be aware that this event will be held outdoors. One table and two chairs will be provided but we ask that youprovide your own tablecloth and canopy. Vendors will be provided with a light lunch.

When your application is received and approved, a confirmation will be sent out to your organization via email. We look forward to your participation!
