GES KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION

Kindergarten Parents/Guardians,
I would like to first welcome you to Greenville Elementary School! As the first day of kindergarten is rapidly approaching, I want to share with you some important information for this special day. The kindergarten teachers are Mrs. Elizabeth Cates, Mrs. Elizabeth Clark, Ms. Michelle May and Miss Lauren Hahn. They are a wonderful group of teachers who will go above and beyond to ensure your child(ren) has/have a great experience in kindergarten.
GES will host “Back to School Night” on Wednesday, August 16th from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Parents and students are encouraged to visit their child’s classroom(s), drop off supplies, and meet their teacher(s) before heading to the playground to enjoy snow cones provided by the GES Parent Club.
The first day of school for kindergarten students will be Thursday, August 17th as GES will host a Kindergartener and Family Welcome in their respective classrooms. On this day, parents/guardians will bring their Kindergartener(s) to school. Kindergarten students with last names starting with letters A-M will meet from 8:45 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. and last names starting with letters N-Z will meet from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Information shared by teachers will include curriculum, expectations, medication policy, and ensure where students are to go after school each day. Parents/guardians will then have the opportunity to ask questions. Please note, students will go home with parents/guardians this day and will begin their established form of transportation to and from school on the 18th. There will be no family visitors on the 18th.
