1.  INTRODUCTIONS AND ADMINISTRATION
Apologies were read out to members of the LLC.
N Brow announced that he is tendering his resignation from his position as chairman at the LLC. Neil is moving to a new role in INEOS based at their Runcorn facility and will no longer be working at Holford. Neil’s replacement at Holford has been appointed and he will attend the next LLC meeting to represent INEOS.
2.  ACTIONS FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
No outstanding actions
3.  ENVIROMENTAL FUND
There have been no new applications to the Storengy UK Environmental Fund.
4.  CONTINUATION OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES CONSENT
A Leadbetter informed members that a submission to the council has been made for the change of control to a small area of land which will be managed by National Grid. It is the same process that took place last year for the electrical substation. It will facilitate the connection required for the Byley Project. A Leadbetter showed members the location of the piece of land on a map.
5.  PROJECT REVIEW
J O’Donnell provided an overview of the project to date:
There have been no safety or environmental incidents recorded since the last LLC meeting.
Storengy received the Gas Industry Safety Award in May in recognition of their excellent safety performance.
Brine and Water Phase 1 – 10 Cavities
Storengy are nearing the completion of the phase 1 works. 10 caverns are mechanically complete, precise level survey points are in place and commissioning is well advanced.
Storengy is expecting to begin commissioning solution mining in August. The 6 shift operators are at present going through all their training programme ahead of starting up the facility
Brine and water Phase 2 – 9 or 10 Cavities
Storengy is close to placing the civil enabling contract for the roads and first 5 well sites. The aim is to complete the top soil stripping before the end of September.
General Questions
N Brow enquired as to the status of the restoration/ remedial works.
J O’Donnell confirmed that for phase 1, around 85% of the land was back with the farmers.
M Boag-Munroe asked how many well heads there will be in phase 2.
A Leadbetter replied that there will be 9 or 10 – it is yet to be finalised.
6.  COMPLAINTS REVIEW
Storengy has received no direct complaints.
Cheshire West and Chester Council have received no complaints related to the SGSP.
7.  OPEN FORMUM
A Leadbetter confirmed that Storengy will hold an Open Day. Following the meeting the date for the Open Day has been confirmed as the 20 and 21 November. Further details will be provided at the next LLC meeting.
