HE IS RISEN

SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 28:6.
Buddhism
The Buddha's body was cremated and the relics were placed in monuments, some of which are believed to have survived until the present. For example, the Temple of the Tooth in Sri Lanka (an island country in south-east Asia) is the place where the (so called) right tooth relic of Buddha is kept at present.
Hinduism
Hinduism has no single "founder.” (All of these people, founders, are dead.) The Vedas and subsequent commentaries were written by early sages. (The Vedasare a large body of texts originating in ancient India. Composed in Vedic Sanskrit, the texts constitute the oldest layer of Sanskrit literature and the oldest writings of Hinduism.
Islam
Muhammad is buried in the ("Mosque of the Prophet") in the city of Medina in Saudi Arabia. Muhammad's grave lies within the confines of what used to be his wife Aisha's and his house. During his lifetime it adjoined the mosque, which was expanded to include his tomb.4]
Confucianism
The grave of Confucius, founder of Confucianism, is in his home town of Qufu, China. The grave of Confucius is located in a large cemetery where more than 100,000 of his descendants are also buried.
Christianity
The location where Jesus is believed to have been entombed between his Crucifixion and Resurrection, is located in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.
JESUS DIES ON THE CROSS: Matthew 27:50-54. (KJV)
50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost (LIFE).
51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
MARK 16:9- JESUS ROSE ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.
1 Corinthians 15 (NIV)
The Resurrection of Christ
15Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel(A) I preached to you,(B) which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2By this gospel you are saved,(C) if you hold firmly(D) to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3For what I received(E) I passed on to you(F) as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins(G) according to the Scriptures,(H) 4that he was buried,(I) that he was raised(J) on the third day(K) according to the Scriptures,(L) 5and that he appeared to Cephas,[b](M) and then to the Twelve.(N) 6After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.(O) 7Then he appeared to James,(P) then to all the apostles,(Q) 8and last of all he appeared to me also,(R) as to one abnormally born.
9For I am the least of the apostles(S) and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted(T) the church of God.(U) 10But by the grace(V) of God I am what I am, and his grace to me(W) was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them(X)—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.(Y) 11Whether, then, it is I or they,(Z) this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.
The Resurrection of the Dead
12But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead,(AA) how can some of you say that there is no resurrection(AB) of the dead?(AC) 13If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised,(AD) our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead.(AE) But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.(AF) 18Then those also who have fallen asleep(AG) in Christ are lost. 19If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.(AH)
20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead,(AI) the firstfruits(AJ) of those who have fallen asleep.(AK) 21For since death came through a man,(AL) the resurrection of the dead(AM) comes also through a man. 22For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.(AN) 23But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits;(AO) then, when he comes,(AP) those who belong to him.(AQ) 24Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom(AR) to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.(AS) 25For he must reign(AT) until he has put all his enemies under his feet.(AU) 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death.(AV) 27For he “has put everything under his feet.”[c](AW) Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.(AX) 28When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him,(AY) so that God may be all in all.(AZ)
29Now if there is no resurrection, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them? 30And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every hour?(BA) 31I face death every day(BB)—yes, just as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord. 32If I fought wild beasts(BC) in Ephesus(BD) with no more than human hopes, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised,
“Let us eat and drink,
for tomorrow we die.”[d](BE)
33Do not be misled:(BF) “Bad company corrupts good character.”[e](BG) 34Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God(BH)—I say this to your shame.(BI)
The Resurrection of the Body
35But someone will ask,(BJ) “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?”(BK) 36How foolish!(BL) What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.(BM) 37When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.(BN) 39Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. 40There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies (SUN, ETC.) is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. 41The sun has one kind of splendor,(BO) the moon another and the stars another;(BP) and star differs from star in splendor.
42So will it be(BQ) with the resurrection of the dead.(BR) The body that is sown is perishable (MORTAL), it is raised imperishable;(BS) 43it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory;(BT) it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44it is sown a natural body (BORN INTO SIN), it is raised a spiritual (PURE, SINLESS) body.(BU)
49And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man,(CC) so shall we[g] bear the image of the heavenly man (CHRIST).(CD)
51Listen, I tell you a mystery:(CH) We will not all sleep,(CI) but we will all be changed(CJ)— 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,(CK) the dead(CL) will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable(CM) must clothe itself with the imperishable,(CN) and the mortal with immortality. 54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[h](CO)
55“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”[i](CP)
56The sting of death is sin,(CQ) and the power of sin is the law.(CR) 57But thanks be to God!(CS) He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.(CT)
58Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,(CU) because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
SELECT APPEARANCES OF JESUS:” (THERE WERE HUNDREDS WHO SAW HIM.)
· Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene (MARK 16:9):
9Now after He had risen early on the first day of the week, He first appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons. 10She went and reported to those who had been with Him, while they were mourning and weeping.…
o A. The scene is at the Sea of Galilee. Not all the Twelve are present. They have gone fishing, and Jesus summons them from the lakeside. They come to shore and see him . Peter has a PERSONAL discussion with Jesus in this appearance and is commissioned to tend the flock of Christ (FEED MY SHEEP) (Jn 21).
o B. Jesus certainly had other on-going appearances with the disciples. Luke attests to this in Acts when he writes: Acts 1:3 To them he presented himself alive after his passion by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days, and speaking of the kingdom of God.
o C. During this time there is the one appearance we can attribute to this time period as recorded by Matthew (Mt 28:16ff) and Mark (Mk 16:14ff). Mark indicates that Jesus ascended only “after he had spoken to them” (Mk 16:19)
D. The final appearance and ascension:
o Luke writes in Acts: And while staying with them (DISCIPLES) he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me, for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” And then he was taken up to heaven in their very sight. (Lk 24:50-53; Acts 1:1-11.
JOHN 14: 1-3: (NIV)
Jesus Comforts His Disciples
14“Do not let your hearts be troubled.(A) You believe(B) in God[a];(C) believe also in me. 2My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there(D) to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back(E) and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.(F)
REV. 21: 1-7: All Things Made New
21Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2Then I, John,[a] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me,[b] “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6And He said to me, “It is done![c] I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7He who overcomes shall inherit all things,[d] and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
