DII Region X Women’s Volleyball Tournament
Listed below is the information for the tournament.
- LOCATION:
Brunswick Community College
Dinah E. Gore Fitness & Aquatics Center
210 College Rd.
Bolivia, NC 28422
- PARKING:
There are several parking lots surrounding the fitness center that will be open. Bus drivers may park in lot 8 which is directly next to the fitness center.
I have attached a campus map.
- ADMISSION
Admission will be $5 per day, kids 12 and under are free. There will be NO pass list at the admission gate.
- Game Times & Seedings
Friday, November 3rd
Game 1: 9:00am - #9 Seed (Region 8) vs. #7 Seed (#4 East/West Finisher with better record)
Game 2: 11:00am - #10 Seed (Region 7) vs. #6 Seed (#3 East/West Finisher with lower record)
Game 3: 1:00pm - #1 Seed (#1 East/West Finisher with better record) vs. #8 Seed (#4 East/West Finisher with lower record)
Game 4: 3:00pm - #4 Seed (#2 East/West Finisher with lower record) vs. #5 Seed (#3 East/West Finisher with better record)
Game 5: 5:00pm - #2 Seed (#1 East/West Finisher with lower record) vs. Winner of Game 1
Game 6: 7:00pm - #3 Seed (#2 East/West Finisher with better record) vs. Winner of Game 2
Saturday, November 4th
Semifinal 1: 10:00am – Highest Seed Remaining vs. opponent in bracket (Per Region X Bylaws)
Semifinal 2: 12:00pm – Other Bracket Winning Group.
Championship Match: Will begin 1 hour after the completion of Semifinal 2 (30 min break, followed by 30 min warmup): Winner of Semifinal 1 vs. Winner of Semifinal 2
- LOCKER ROOMS
Pool locker rooms, fitness locker rooms, athletic locker rooms, and other rooms will be available for teams. There will be signs on the doors of which team is assigned to each of the rooms.
- SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENT
We will provide water coolers, cups, and ice bags. You are welcome to bring your own also.
- ATHLETIC TRAINERS:
You will need to bring your own athletic trainers to the tournament.
- RESTAURANTS:
Subway, Bojangles, Hardee’s, McDonalds are located close to campus going south on 17. If you go north on 17 you’ll go into Leland which has Applebee’s, Smithfield’s, Pizzetta’s Pizza, Jersey Mike’s and Hwy 55. Going into Shallotte which is South on 17 there is a Chili’s, Wing & Fish Company, Grillin’ Crab, Angelo’s Pizzeria, Golden Corral and Tokyo Express.
- All Region Team:
The 2017 Region X team members will be announced before the start of each game on Friday for teams that have players selected.
- ROSTERS
Please send roster, team photo, and team logo for the programs by Monday, October 23rd.
- T-SHIRTS
T-shirts will be sold for $12 each if you want to purchase them. Checks can be made payable to BCC Volleyball, and please bring the check with you to the tournament. Please have your orders along with your roster in by Monday October 23rd.
