West Hurst Elementary

Schoolwide Title I Campus

Family Engagement Policy

2017-2018

At West Hurst Elementary, we are aware of the very important role that families play in the education of their children. We recognize that a child’s education is a responsibility shared by the school and family. To support the goal that all children succeed academically and in life, the school and families must work together as partners. This significant role is the reason that West Hurst Elementary, with input from families, has developed a Campus Family Engagement Policy. West Hurst also enthusiastically supports federal laws governing compensatory education. These laws require schools to provide information and opportunities for families of our students to increase both the quality and quantity of their participation in their child’s formal education.
