Chairman Ginter called the meeting of the Community and Family Advancement Committee to order at 3:05 p.m.
The roll was taken; a quorum was present.
-Chairman Ginter asked the committee to review the minutes from the previous hearing. Hearing no objections, the minutes stood approved.
Chairman Ginter called HB 427 for its fifth hearing
-The Chair recognized Representative Young
-Rep. Young moved to accept Am 1549X2 to HB 427
-Representatives Antani and Vitale objected.
-With 9 affirmative votes and 2 negative votes, the amendment was accepted.
-Rep. Young moved to accept Am 1550 to HB 427
-Representative Antani objected.
-With 10 affirmative votes and 2 negative votes, the amendment was accepted.
-That concluded the fifth hearing on HB 427.
Chairman Ginter called HB 533 for its first hearing
-The Chair recognized Representative Pelanda.
-The Chair entertained questions from the committee (Boyd, Kent, Brenner, Ginter, Lang, Sheehy).
-That concluded the first hearing for HB 533
Chairman Ginter called HB 515 for it second hearing
-The Chair directed the committee’s attention to written testimony from Attorney General DeWine.
-With no questions from the committee, that concluded the second hearing for HB 515
Chairman Ginter called HB 535 for its second hearing
-David Corey was called to present testimony on behalf of Nancy Orel
-No questions from the committee
-Tom Clemons was called to testify
-The Chair entertained questions from the committee (Ginter, Kent, Young, Sheehy)
