Prayers Requested -- “God of loving kindness listen favorably to our prayers.” Please give support and comfort by remembering the following people in your prayers: Ryan Carlson, Mary Kawola, Betty Keppal, Linda Levings, Sandro Marcoccia, Jackie Reed, Dorothy Roberts, Carolina Tobia, and Geraldine Vroman.

First Anniversary of Death – Frances K. Fusco Gregory and Leatrice Deyo died on July 24, 2010. May they and all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, until their resurrection on the Last Day.

Parish Nurse News -- Caring for the mind, spirit, and relationships through hobbies, meditation, morning devotions, lunch with friends, date or family night with a spouse or family will establish balance and stability. These activities will result in lower blood pressure, peace of mind, greater enjoyment of family, and renewed energy to tackle the difficulties of life. They are just as important as medical appointments and screenings, where health issues can be found before they become serious issues.

BISHOP’S APPEAL -- If you did not make a commitment to our 2011 Bishop's Appeal, please do so today: Simply complete the appeal envelope and place it in the basket at offertory time. The diocese will send reminders in July, September, October, November, January and February. Again, please remember that every dollar contributed to our Bishop's appeal becomes "two gifts in one" a gift to our diocese and a gift to our parish (to help meet our assessment)! Also, remember that your company may offer a matching grant.

Prayer for Our Troops

Father, hold our troops in your loving hands and protect them as they protect us. Be with them and comfort them with your loving presence while they are away from their homes. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need, and grant us all peace, both as individuals and a world community. We ask this in the name of Jesus, your Son, with faith that you can hear and answer all our prayers according to your will. Amen.
