Rosa Musica @ Crystal Grid wins Australian Dolphin Award
Byron Bay (October 2006) -- Electric Swamp Creaturez, Rosa Musica’s debut CD, has won the 2006 NCEIA Dolphin Award for electronic ambient music, specifically for the “Sweet Angel” remix by Tone Wandaller. The North Coast Entertainment Industry Association represents independent musicians and entertainers working in the Northern Rivers Region of NSW, Australia.
Electric Swamp Creaturez, dubbed an electro-folk fantasy adventure, is truly folktronic, with songs of love, nature, spirit and peace – set to a club music background. Folktronica is a new musical genre comprised of varying elements of folk and electronica, or electronic dance music. Samples are available for listening on the new Rosa Musica web site at
This debut CD includes another award winning track, “Dawn of the Age”, a remix by DJ Sean Candy aka AB Oblivion, which won the Australian Musicoz best dance artist in 2005. The Musicoz Awards is open to independent music artists in Australia.
Rosa Musica has said about this project, "At a time when I was in a very dark confusing place, music offered me focus and optimism. I never once imagined I would be in this dream position of having recorded and released my first album, collaborating in the process with some of the most talented musicians in Byron Bay. Music, to me, has been a gift. So, I am giving it back to those who would like to share in my experience." And, in time for the coming holiday season, this inspiring collection of original music is truly a gift from the heart.
