Role Guide
Relating to your role
Supports internal and external communications, including Choices magazine, which has a circulation of 12,500, and the staff newsletter.
Works with the Communications Team on external media relations, marketing and publicity.
Supports campaigns using social media.
Interviews carers and writes up/produces case studies.
Keeps up-to-date with national initiatives affecting carers.
Produces copy for media.
Develops copy for the web.
Working with others
Demonstrates effective team working skills, participates in team meetings and training.
Interacts well with all parts of the organisation.
Displays self-confidence and initiative.
Attends multi-agency meetings on behalf of Carers’ Resource.
Makes presentations on behalf of the organisation to carers and professionals.
Makes a positive contribution to Carers’ Resource, is willing to function as a member of a small team and proactively assist in the development of the organisation.

Encourages and supports all volunteers and supervises identified volunteers.

Knowledge
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject. Students with A-levels may be considered if the candidate has work experience in the field / ü
