We are extremely proud of the teachers and leaders we have at [district name]. Supporting our staff, and helping all teachers, even the best, continue to get better, is a priority because at the end day our children will benefit.

Since 2010, our district has been involved with Ohio Teacher Incentive Fund (Ohio TIF), collaborating with 22 other districts in Ohio to invest in our teachers and recognize the great work they do each and every day.

Impacting our Students and Community

While much of the Ohio TIF work takes place “behind the scenes” in the district, we are proud of the impact this work has had on our students and our community.

How has working with Ohio TIF benefited our students?

·  Focused Professional Learning―Educators are lifelong learners, and ongoing professional development opportunities are important to support teachers and leaders in their growth. Through the Ohio TIF grant, our district has been able to provide focused professional development in priority areas. Having teachers that are committed to self-improvement and growth results in positive learning experiences for our children.

·  Quality Feedback―We are committed to making sure that all our children are engaged and learning from a highly effective teacher. Providing feedback is an important part of improving any practice, and education is no different. Because we are part of Ohio TIF, our district supports this goal. Our district has been on the leading edge of the state’s movement toward providing quality feedback to educators through quality, reliable data, and evaluations to identify strengths and opportunities for growth.

·  Recognition of Efforts―Everyone likes to be recognized for outstanding work. Thanks to Ohio TIF, our district has worked to design and implement an award program to recognize teachers and leaders for their impact on student achievement and growth, their professional development, and their leadership roles.

·  Collaboration―There are many challenges facing school districts across the state and nation, and there is only so much we can do alone. Our children benefit from not only the best ideas and trainings from our district, but also from the collective efforts of our partner districts in Ohio TIF. One of the greatest benefits of being part of Ohio TIF is the opportunity to connect and collaborate with top-notch educators in 22 other Ohio districts, to share ideas, leverage our resources, and work together to develop common solutions to these challenges.
