Hi and welcome to St. John the Baptist School!
My name is Denise Breuer and I will be your child’s teacher this year. Mrs. Shawn Alexander will be assisting me. We look forward to getting to know your child! Our top priority is to provide an atmosphere in which your child can flourish in. Our Pre-K3 program uses the Creative Curriculum Program, which allows us to observe and interact with your child while playing so we can plan a curriculum around their interests.
We also begin to introduce the alphabet sounds by using the Jolly Phonics program which is a multi-sensory approach to learning the phonetic sounds of each letter in the alphabet. With each letter there is a song and an action and we also do a fun activity to reinforce recognition.
A little bit about me....
My husband and I have been married for 40 years. We have been blessed with 4 grown children and 2 lovely grandchildren. I have worked at Saint John the Baptist School for the past 14 years and this will be my 9th year as the Preschool teacher.
I look forward to seeing you at the “Back to School Night, August 30th, 515-6:15 p.m.
You will have the opportunity to sign up for snacks and ask any questions that you might have. Please return your child’s information sheet at this time also.
Our Classroom supply list is as follows:
· A large container of Clorox wipes
· Kleenex
· One container of Table salt (for playdoh)
· One pack of glue sticks
· One box of Crayola Washable Markers
· A spare set of clothes in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name on it!
There is no need to label the supplies as they all go into the general supply!
Our Pre-K 3 day starts at 8:00 a.m. and dismisses at 11:15 a.m.
