Purpose of the Role / The Business Analyst (BA) will work with the Injury Support and Service Division (IS&S) to determine the requirements for system change and provide production support services for the CSC/ACCtion applications.
The BA will assist the SBA in providing account management services to the IS&S Executive Director, IS&S Directors (6) and their respective line managers.
The BA will also be required to manage small projects.
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities / 1.  To assist in the development of business solutions that meet business need and align with WorkSafe policy and direction. Business solutions include research, presentation of alternatives, risk analysis, contingency plans and assistance with preparation of the business case.
2.  Work in a team of business analysts to develop business requirements specifications and process models.
3.  Facilitate discussion with stakeholders and vendors to understand their issues, needs and expectations.
4.  Contribute business analysis expertise to the Solutions Architecture & Design Reviews.
5.  Undertake Quality Assurance reviews of project deliverables and provide feedback to team members.
6.  Contribute to the preparation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans & scripts, and lead the business representatives in the conducting of their UAT.
7.  Comply with VWA OHS Policy, Procedure and Legislative Requirements.
Key Relationships / 1.  Reports to Senior Business Analyst, WorkSafe Client Solutions (IS&S Client)
2.  Frequent interaction with Injury Support & Service Division and Health Services.
3.  Project Teams - facilitation and participation in workshops
4.  Daily interaction with the ITSS Business Solutions, Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Intelligence and Applications Development teams.
5.  Frequent interaction with major outsourcing company – CSC.
6.  Interaction with external service providers.

Essential Skills, Education levels & Experience / 1.  Proven experience in the development of Business Functional Requirements, Non-functional Requirements and User Acceptance Testing.
2.  Operational knowledge of the CSC/ACCtion system and processes.
3.  Proven experience in Process Modelling techniques and tools.
4.  Proven experience in a business analyst role.
5.  Experience with SDLC methodologies.
6.  Experience with requirements management and testing tools.
7.  Excellent communication and consultative skills.
8.  An appropriate tertiary qualification
